South Korean singer-actor Jung Chae Yeon will reportedly undergo surgery after sustaining a concussion and fracture in her collarbone on the set of her upcoming drama The Golden Spoon.
According to Korean media portal Soompi, on September 12, the actor’s agency MBK Entertainment announced that while filming The Golden Spoon in the early morning of September 10, Jung Chaeyeon fell on the stairs and was transferred to a hospital in Seoul.
“After being transferred to a hospital and getting a CT scan and an X-ray, Jung Chaeyeon was diagnosed with a collarbone fracture and showed symptoms of a concussion, and received emergency treatment,” the agency said. As a result, she will be receiving surgery for her fractured clavicle on the afternoon of September 13. Additional surgical sutures will be performed if there is any ligament damage.
The idol actress also left a sweet message for fans before heading in for surgery. "Writing this because I don't want AID to worry: AID!!!!!! We were supposed to laugh that day, now what!!!!!! I had a feeling you were going to be worried sick so I decided to come here hehehehe, “ she wrote as reported by allkpop tabloid.
“I'll be fine once I get surgery!!!!! Don't worry. I admit I'm a little nervous... but it'll all be fine. Hahahahaha don't worry. I'm really fine, if I don't count my shoulder and my collarbone. Ah..! The concussion!!!! It's gone now, my head is fine!!!! I'm fine!!!”
