Pati Patni Aur Woh: Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar & Ananya Panday to recreate 'Ankhiyon Se Goli Maare'

Pati Patni Aur Woh: Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar & Ananya Panday to recreate 'Ankhiyon Se Goli Maare'
Pati Patni Aur Woh remake starring Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar has already been wrapped up. But, the lead actors will reunite next week on the studio to shoot a song - a recreation of Govinda and Raveena Tandon's Dulhe Raja song 'Akhiyon Se Goli Maare'. Pati Patni Aur Woh: Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar & Ananya Panday to recreate 'Ankhiyon Se Goli Maare' Over the years, the song has gained cult status featuring Raveena Tandon and Govinda's signature moves. The recreation of the song will be choreographed by Farah Khan. Director Mudassar Aziz is excited to have her on board because the choreographer-turned-filmmaker has seen his growth from an assistant director to a writer and finally, a filmmaker. Mudassar further said that their story is based in a certain milieu. To take the narrative forward, they required most songs. The makers collectively felt that they needed a fun song to communicate with the audience and that the characters could let loose in an alternate setting, where even the Patni and Woh could be together. This much-awaited romantic comedy is the remake of BR Chopra’s 1978 classic hit film which starred Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta. Produced by T-series and BR Films, Pati Patni Aur Woh is slated to release on December 6.

BREAKING: Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Bala to release on November 7 as planned earlier

BREAKING: Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Bala to release on November 7 as planned earlier
One of the most significant and also the strangest controversies is that involving Bala and Ujda Chaman. Both films are about protagonists that are struggling with premature balding. Initially, Ujda Chaman, starring Sunny Singh and directed by Abhishek Pathak, was to release on November 8. Meanwhile, Bala, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar and directed by Stree director Amar Kaushik, was to hit screens a week later, on November 15. But then the problems began as Bala got preponed by a week. Its producers, in fact, decided to arrive with the film on Thursday, November 7, a day before Ujda Chaman hit screens. This prompted Ujda Chaman producers to further prepone their film by a week and release it on November 1. BREAKING: Bala to now release on October 31, a day before Ujda Chaman! Bollywood Hungama last week had reported that Bala might also follow suit and arrive with Ujda Chaman. And it has now come to light that the clash is indeed happening! "Bala will in fact release on Thursday October 31, a day before Ujda Chaman," says a source and further adds, "The producers of Bala are having a race against time to ensure that their film makes it on October 31, even if that means minimal time for promotions." The question is - how will Bala manage to get adequate screens? Just day before yesterday, three films released - Housefull 4, Saand Ki Aankh and Made In China, with the last one also produced by Bala's producers. At this, the source explains, "Housefull 4 is the biggest film of the week with an extensive release and looking at the response, it's bound to fall from Tuesday or Wednesday onwards. Hence the exhibitors won't have any issue in giving away shows to Bala and also to Ujda Chaman." There were already speculations last week that Bala may get preponed to clash with Ujda Chaman. The industry got even more confident when Neil Nitin Mukesh's production, Bypass Road, postponed its release from November 1 to November 8 while Sooraj Pancholi starrer Satellite Shankar that was to arrive on November 15 was similarly preponed to November 8. "Since a big film like Bala made the November 8 slot vacant, it made sense to arrive on this said date for both the films," tells the source. The only roadblock faced by Bala is the legal proceedings. Two parties have filed separate cases against the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer. One is by Ujda Chaman producers, who have officially adapted a Kannada movie Ondu Motteya Kathe and claim that Bala is an unofficial copy of the original film. The other case is filed by aspiring filmmaker Kamal Kant Chandra who claims Bala is similar to his venture, titled Wig. The hearing for both cases is on November 4. The source adds, "It remains to be seen if Bala can release on October 31, 5 days before the scheduled hearing. However, since there’s no stay order on the release, the producers of Bala are confident and hence they are going ahead with bringing their film a day before Ujda Chaman." Before signing off, the source informs, "The official announcement will be made by Sunday, October 27 or Monday October 28. They'll also throw open the advance booking of Bala as soon as they announce its new release date.” However, a press release by the production house states that the movie will release on November 7, as planned earlier. On this auspicious day of Diwali, Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films have decided that we will release our film Bala starring Ayushmann Khurrana in the title role on our original release date of 7th November, putting an end to much speculation. Jyoti Deshpande President of the RIL Media & Entertainment business said " Ours is the one and only original Bala and in the best interest of business of theatre owners, our fellow producers and audience convenience we will do select preview of our film as planned on 7th November and release it widely across nationwide cinemas on Friday the 8th of November. Diwali is an auspicious occasion to show grace and positivity and that's exactly what we believe in. We have made a film that audiences are going to love and this decision comes from that confidence and conviction". Also Read: Bala: Sonam Bajwa to appear in a song with Ayushmann Khurrana

Ajay Devgn plans to make a series of films celebrating 'Unsung Warriors'

Ajay Devgn plans to make a series of films celebrating 'Unsung Warriors'

Ajay Devgn who has created a huge stir with the first look of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is set to bring the stories of the bygone heroes on the silver screen for all to hear. The actor-filmmaker is also planning a franchise, which will chronicle stories of other unsung Indian heroes.

Ajay Devgn plans to celebrate 'Unsung Warriors' with series of films

The superstar who has been fascinated with stories of bravery and patriotism has been continually scouting for stuff on men who have played a part in History. Having done films like The Legend of Bhagat Singh and now Tanhaji, Ajay Devgn wants to bring the life of these unsung warriors who have left an imprint on Indian history. But about whom not much is known. He is keen to turn the unsung Warriors into a series so such men can be celebrated.

Ajay Devgn’s team has already shortlisted some stories that he’s keen to narrate. The idea for the franchise struck while the actor was researching his role as Tanhaji Malusare, the commander of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s army, in the Om Raut-directed action-drama.

The actor-filmmaker is quite assured that Tanhaji will find favour with youngsters even though it’s a period based story. If Avengers can attract the youth, our heroes and unsung warriors can also find a connection with them. You have to tell a story on a grand scale with emphasis on character values,” the source explains.

While Ajay, Kajol, and Saif Ali Khan spearhead Tanhaji, the buzz is, other A-list actors will be approached for central roles in films which will be a part of the franchise. The movie will be produced under Devgn’s banner and depending on who suits which part best, other actors will be cast.

When probed about the commercial viability of the series, considering that it would require state-of-the-art visuals, the source reasons that while the cost of making a historical is high, Ajay’s company also has a VFX division, which continues to push the envelope in this field.

Speaking about the same, Ajay says, When researching Tanhaji, I was fascinated by warriors like him who have made significant contributions to our freedom movement. These are stories of valour and I want to bring some of them to the screen.”

Crediting the director of his upcoming historical action drama for this, the actor-producer adds, Om simultaneously came up with the idea of showcasing the lives of other unsung warriors. The seed was actually planted by him but the thought remained. We should take it forward.”

Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior produced by Ajay Devgn’s ADF and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, Directed by Om Raut, the film will be released on 10th Jan 2020.

Kangana Ranaut will speak her own Tamil lines

Kangana Ranaut will speak her own Tamil lines
Kangana Ranaut doesn’t believe in half-measures. Her dedication to getting the character right is so bright that she leaves nothing to chance. For the role of Jayalalitha the iconic chief minister of Tamil Nadu in the film Thalaivi, Kangana is learning the Telugu language from scratch and will speak her own dialogues in Tamil in the bio-pic. Kangana Ranaut will speak her own Tamil lines Sources say this is a task easier said than done. In Tamil Nadu audiences are fickle about accents. Says an actress who has worked repeatedly with Mani Ratnam, “I don’t know how she will do it. Because according to me, Tamil is the most difficult language in India. I’ve worked in a number of Tamil films. In the first few I allowed the dubbing artiste to do the needful, as I knew I couldn’t master the language. But now after so many years of experience in Tamil cinema I am still not allowed to dub my own lines.” As for the venerated Jayalalitha, no slip of the tongue would go unnoticed or unforgiven. But Kangana is determined because she feels like Shabana Azmi that the performance at the dubbing stage is as important as the one while shooting. Thalaivi producer Shailesh R Singh informs me that Kangana has been taking Telugu language lessons for three months now.

Mahesh Babu’s first family film

Mahesh Babu’s first family film
Mahesh Babu, his wife Namrata and their two children Gautam and Sitara have done an ad together. This is the first time the family will be seen together on screen. And they are naturally very anxious to know how their fans react. Says Namrata, “We didn’t want Gautam and Sitara to face the camera so early. So when the director Yamuna Kishore who is a friend of Mahesh, came up with the idea our first instinct was to say no. But then we heard the concept and the script sounded like fun .The kids were super-excited.” Mahesh Babu’s first family film Namrata says the team behind the ad agreed to let Mahesh and his wife have the final say on the ad. “If we didn’t like what was shot they agreed not to put it out. So it was like a trial space. This is something no ad maker would do normally. I suppose because their association with Mahesh is two years old they were very considerate. They narrated the idea to Mahesh and he really liked the script. He wasn’t sure if the kids would like to be part of this. But there were most okay with it. So we said, why not?” Most importantly Namrata wanted this opportunity for the kids to know how it felt to shoot a film. “Mahesh and I just wanted them to get a feel of the camera space. We made sure the children were comfortable. And they had a blast on the sets. This is not to say we want Gautam and Sitara to be actors. It is their choice. And there is plenty of time to decide. But they really enjoyed the experience.” As an anxious mother Namrata admits she had her pangs on the sets, “I have to admit I was nervous about how the kids would take to the camera, how they would look on screen. Without sounding biased I must say they are natural born actors.” Incidentally Namrata returns to the screen with this ad after 14 years. “I haven’t shot anything since my marriage to Mahesh. I gave up films very happily. I was never career-driven. And I would have given up anything to marry Mahesh. Once I was married my only priority was my husband his family. And later my two children.” So how did it feel to be facing the camera after 14 year? “It didn’t feel strange at all. Acting is like swimming. One never forgets it. Would I consider returning to full-fledged acting? No way! I did this ad because I got a chance to work with my husband and children and I didn’t have to worry about the children because they were with us.”

Singh Is Kinng producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah cheated of Rs 5 crore in an iridium mining business scam

Singh Is Kinng producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah cheated of Rs 5 crore in an iridium mining business scam
Film producer/director Vipul Shah and his business partner have filed a case against three people for allegedly cheating them of Rs 5 crore by luring them into investing in iridium business. The case has been registered in Maharashtra’s Nagpur district. The Nagpur Police's Economic Offences Wing has arrested one person in the case, an official said on Friday. Singh Is Kinng producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah cheated of Rs 5 crore in an iridium mining business scam In the past, similar scams related to the ‘iridium mining business’ have been reported. According to the complaint filed by Vipul Shah, the accused had approached him and his partner in 2010, promising to invest Rs 100 crore in film production. The accused told Mr Shah and his partner that they were in the lucrative business of collecting antiques and British-era coins which contain iridium, a rare metal. The accused had told Shah and his partner that Iridium is in great demand for its "supernatural powers'' and that even the defence forces need it. They allegedly offered Mr Shah and Mr Singh an opportunity to invest in this business. Mr Shah said in his complaint that he and his partner travelled all across the country with the accused, spending their own money and even transferring some money to the accused, in connection with the ‘business’ before they realized that they were being taken for a ride. They had spent around Rs. 5 crores during these travels, Mr Shah told the police. After Mr Shah lodged a complaint at Ambazari police station (as he had met the accused for the first time in Nagpur), the EOW arrested one Raj Singh under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Vipul Shah is the producer of many Bollywood films including Singh Is Kinng, the Commando series and Force.
