Delhi HC clears 120 Bahadur for release, dismisses plea on ‘distorted history’

The Delhi High Court has dismissed a petition challenging the release of the upcoming war drama 120 Bahadur, thereby allowing the film to hit theatres on November 21 as scheduled.

The petition, filed by the Sanyukt Ahir Regiment Morcha charity trust, along with the families of soldiers who died in the 1962 Battle of Rezang La, argued that the film “distorts historical facts” and sought to change its name, claiming it erases the collective identity and sacrifice of the Ahir community.

A bench comprising Justices Prathiba M. Singh and Shail Jain refused to delay the release, observing that “it is too late to change the film’s title and release date, or to implement last-minute changes.”  The court also noted that the filmmakers have honoured the 120 soldiers by including their names in the end credits as a “special tribute.”

The bench clarified, “However, since there is some ambiguity as to whether names of all the 120 soldiers have been mentioned or not, it is directed that the film is permitted to be released in theatres as it is on Friday across the country.”

Further, they said the petitioners may watch the theatrical version and, if they find missing or incorrect names, corrective changes should be made during the OTT release. “It is made clear that even for the OTT release, only the names of the soldiers, along with the proper regiment will be mentioned.”

The PIL had challenged the CBFC certification of the film, alleging that it glorifies Major Shaitan Singh (fictionalised as “Bhati”) at the expense of the heroism shown by the predominantly Ahir soldiers in C Company of the 13 Kumaon Regiment.

EXCLUSIVE: CBFC changes Rose-mary Marlow to Rose-mary Carlow in Mastiii 4; asks for THIS modification in the Aftab Shivdasani-old man sex joke

The sex comedy Mastiii 4 hit cinemas today and has already grabbed eyeballs thanks to its popular franchise and naughty trailer. Even before its release, there was apprehension that the Central Board of Film Certification would insist on multiple cuts. Bollywood Hungama had exclusively revealed two days ago that the board had asked for six dialogues to be altered. We can now share the detailed breakdown of some of these changes.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “One of the lines from the trailer that drew both laughs and criticism was the exchange between Aftab Shivdasani and an elderly patient. The old man tells Aftab, ‘Mujhe jawan ladki ke saath sex karna hai’. When a worried Aftab warns, ‘Lekin aisa karne se maut ho jaayegi’, the patient quips, ‘Marti hai toh mar jaaye saali’. In the theatrical version, this entire bit has been toned down. In the film, the patient now says, ‘Mujhe jawan ladki ke saath masti karni hai’. Aftab still cautions, ‘Lekin aisa karne se maut ho jaayegi’, to which the patient replies, ‘Main marne ke liye tayyar hoon’.”

The source continued, “That is not all. The three women with whom the trio have an affair in Grand Masti (2013) are named Rose, Mary and Marlow. Read together, their names form a cheeky double meaning in Hindi. In Mastiii 4, a glamorous character is introduced as Rose-mary Marlow. Her name has now been changed to Rose-mary Carlow. It is surprising that the censors had no issue with the gag in the second film, released 12 years ago, but have objected to it this time.”

Directed by Milap Zaveri, Mastiii 4 stars Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani, who have always featured in the previous parts of the franchise as well – Masti (2004), Grand Masti and Great Grand Masti (2016). This time, they are joined by Ruhii Singh, Shreya Sharma, Elnaaz Norouzi, Natalia Janoszek, Shaad Randhawa and Nishant Singh Malkani, along with Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri.

Ali Abbas Zafar casts Aaishvary Thackeray as antagonist opposite Ahaan Panday in YRF’s next; promises ‘big-screen carnage’

Ali Abbas Zafar’s upcoming action romance for Yash Raj Films is shaping up to be one of the studio’s most high-profile films featuring young talent. The director has now cast Aaishvary Thackeray as the negative lead opposite Ahaan Panday, setting up what insiders describe as an intense face-off between two emerging performers in a new entertainer that will also feature Sharvari as the leading lady.

Aaishvary, who earned widespread appreciation for his performance in Anurag Kashyap’s Nishaanchi, has been viewed as a talent to watch. His screen presence and assured acting were highlighted in the film, and his casting in Zafar’s project marks another major step in his career. The film pairs him against Ahaan Panday, who recently delivered a blockbuster with Saiyaara, further adding to the intrigue around the project.

The action romance also features Sharvari, completing a trio of young actors headlining a large-scale production. With audiences responding strongly to new on-screen pairings and fresh faces—evident from the success of Saiyaara—the casting strategy appears aligned with current viewing trends.

A trade source said, “Ali Abbas Zafar is known for directing mega entertainers that became historic blockbusters like Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. Given his acumen, one can expect Ali to mount Ahaan and Aaishvary‘s showdown as a big screen carnage to watch out for. This is a hugely mounted film with romance at the heart of the story and action giving a sense of shock and awe and a must watch entertainer feel. So, you can expect Ali not holding back and pulling all punches to make it a rollercoaster thrilling ride and keep audiences at the edge of their seats.”

The source further added, “Let’s face it - Ali has the best young cast of Indian cinema with him for this film. Given his brilliance in storytelling, coupled with his knowledge of creating big screen spectacles, one can be rest assured that these three young actors are going to be presented in a massive way and they will give it their all on screen. It is refreshing to see big movies being mounted on young actors because they will have to carry the baton of the industry going forward. This is a huge opportunity for the industry and for these young actors to show that they have it in them to dazzle us all with their acting.”

With Ali Abbas Zafar at the helm and YRF backing the project, anticipation continues to build around how this young lineup will be showcased in the high-octane world the filmmaker is known for.

EXCLUSIVE: Salman Khan to be seen in an EXTENDED and ENTERTAINING special appearance in Sunny Deol-starrer Gabru

Sunny Deol rocked the show in 2023 with the monstrous blockbuster, Gadar 2 (2023). With Jaat (2025), he proved that Gadar 2 was not a fluke and hence, his upcoming films are keenly awaited. He’ll begin 2026 with Border 2 on Republic Day and this will be followed by Gabru. The latter is an emotional drama and the makers have an ace up their sleeve with this film, which they have kept carefully under wraps. It has come to light that superstar Salman Khan has a lovely cameo in Gabru.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “There was a requirement of a star and the makers knew that Salman Khan fit the bill completely. Salman was approached and he loved the part and its contribution to the film. He quietly shot the film more than a year ago and it has shaped up well.”

Sharing more about Salman Khan’s part in the emotional drama, the source added, “Salman Khan’s cameo in Gabru is all heart. It is adorable and also highly entertaining. He has 3 scenes in total and hence, it’s an extended special appearance. Interestingly, both Salman Khan and Sunny Deol are very close, but they have worked together only once, in Jeet (1996). They were also a part of Heroes (2008) but they never shared screen space in the war film. This also gave Salman another reason to sign Gabru.”

Apart from Gabru, Salman Khan will be seen in another exciting special appearance in the first half of 2026, in Raja Shivaji. It stars Riteish Deshmukh in the lead role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, while Salman will essay the role of Jiva Mahala, one of Maharaj’s most trusted warriors. While Raja Shivaji releases in cinemas on May 1, Gabru arrives on the big screen on March 13. The first half of next year will also see Salman in the lead role in the much-awaited war flick, Battle Of Galwan.

Dharmendra health update: He is in a better condition, reveal reports

The health of veteran actor Dharmendra has been at the centre of intense public attention ever since he was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital earlier this month following age-related complications. While early reports speculated that his condition had worsened, a reassuring update has now emerged from an insider source, who told NDTV, “He is fine, better than earlier.” The positive update comes as a major relief to fans who have been anxiously tracking the actor’s recovery.

Dharmendra’s hospitalisation triggered a wave of concern across the film fraternity, with several prominent personalities visiting him over the course of his stay. However, mixed information soon began circulating. Some portals alarmingly claimed the actor was in critical condition, giving rise to panic among fans. Matters escalated further when hoax reports falsely declared the actor had passed away, a move that drew strong criticism from the Deol family, who condemned the irresponsible and insensitive reportage.

To counter the speculation, members of the Deol clan issued multiple statements, urging the public to rely only on verified updates. When Dharmendra was finally discharged, the family shared a detailed note expressing gratitude while appealing for privacy. “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you."

Amid the emotional turbulence, another controversy surfaced when a video from the actor’s hospital room went viral online. The clip—which appeared to be recorded by a hospital staff member—showed Dharmendra surrounded by family members. The breach of privacy sparked outrage, and strict action is expected to have been taken against the individual responsible for the leak.

With the worst now seemingly behind him, the Deol family is focusing on positive developments. As previously reported by Bollywood Hungama, they have already begun planning celebrations for Dharmendra’s milestone 90th birthday on December 8. The recent insider reassurance, paired with the family’s growing optimism, suggests that the beloved star is firmly on the path to recovery—comforting news for millions who continue to hold him close to their hearts.

EXCLUSIVE: CBFC passes 120 Bahadur with ZERO cuts; makers of Farhan Akhtar-starrer go for strategic, limited release

The Farhan Akhtar-starrer 120 Bahadur is all set to be released this Friday, November 21, and it has impressed the audience with its subject and authenticity, as evident from the trailer. In a unique move, the paid previews of the film were held across the country on Tuesday, November 18. The norm is to organize previews on Thursday, a day before release. And now, Bollywood Hungama makers have learned that the distributors, AA Films, have decided on an interesting strategy for the war drama.

A trade source told Bollywood Hungama, “The makers, Excel Entertainment, and the distributors, AA Films, have decided to provide a limited release to the film. The idea is to release the film in cinemas which is highly frequented by its target audience, that is, the elite and the ones who are interested in such high-quality films. In mass-dominated single-screens and multiplexes and in B and C centres, the distributors will either skip the release or ask them to go for limited showcasing.”

The trade source continued, “They have decided to release the film in around 900-1000 screens. The strategy will work well with the film and if there’s demand, the shows can be increased over the weekend or on the weekdays.”

The trade source informed, “Mastiii 4 also releases this Friday and it’s meant for the masses. Hence, there will be no clash over show-sharing for these two films as they are targeting different sets of audiences. The makers of the sex comedy plan to go wide in mass centres and in the hinterland.”

No cuts for 120 Bahadur

Meanwhile, 120 Bahadur has been passed with no cuts by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). There was concern among moviegoers after the trailer of the film, which was played in cinemas, replaced the dialogue ‘Ahir hai hum’ with ‘Fauji hai hum’. This led to many netizens assuming that the said cut would also be enforced in the film. As a result, CBFC was trolled for it.

But the final version of the film doesn’t have the aforementioned modification. Moreover, despite being a war film, the Examining Committee of the CBFC did not ask for any visual cuts as well, as the action scenes are not too gory or disturbing. Accordingly, the film was given a U/A 13+ certificate on November 6.

The length of 120 Bahadur, as mentioned on the censor certificate, is 137 minutes. In other words, the film is 2 hours and 17 minutes long.

Saif Ali Khan makes major real estate move; buys commercial offices worth Rs. 30.75 crores in Mumbai

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has added yet another prime asset to his real estate portfolio, this time in Mumbai’s thriving commercial district of Andheri East. According to property registration documents, the actor has purchased two office units in the Kanakia Wallstreet building for a total consideration of Rs. 30.75 crore.

The combined area of the newly acquired offices measures 5,681 sq ft and includes six dedicated parking spaces. The seller of the property is Apiore Pharmaceutical, a US-based pharma company, as reflected in the registration filings. The deal was arranged by Volney, a real estate advisory and investor network firm.

The transaction was officially registered on November 18, 2025, with a stamp duty of Rs. 1.84 crore and a registration fee of Rs. 60,000. Industry experts note that Andheri East has rapidly emerged as one of Mumbai’s busiest commercial corridors, attracting corporates, global enterprises, and creative firms due to its improved connectivity and infrastructure. Volney’s founder, Rohan Sheth, described the area as a market that combines accessibility with strong rental prospects, adding that it continues to draw long-term investors.

Saif’s new commercial investment also places him among several high-profile names who have recently secured space in the vicinity. Elon Musk’s satellite internet company, Starlink Satellite Communications Private Limited, recently leased a 1,294 sq. ft. office in the nearby Chandivali area for a five-year period, with total rent valued at Rs. 2.33 crore. Additionally, the same building previously housed leased offices where Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan acquired three commercial units earlier this year for about Rs. 31 crores through HRX Digitech LLP.

Beyond his latest acquisition, Saif Ali Khan is already known for his premium residential and commercial holdings across Mumbai. He currently resides in a high-end apartment in Bandra West, a property he purchased nearly a decade ago for Rs. 24 crores. Records also show that he bought a sprawling 6,500 sq. ft. apartment in April 2012 for Rs. 23.50 crore from Satguru Builders, further cementing his presence in the city’s luxury real estate landscape.

With his latest investment, the actor continues to strengthen his position not just in cinema but also in Mumbai’s top-tier property market.

Vikram Bhatt denies Rs 30-crores fraud allegations, calls Udaipur FIR “misleading”

Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has spoken out after an FIR alleging fraud was filed against him in Udaipur. The case, registered at Bhupalpura police station, claims Bhatt and his production company failed to deliver films promised under a multi-project agreement. The filmmaker, however, insists the allegations are based on misinformation.

What the FIR Claims

Udaipur District Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal confirmed that Dr. Ajay Murdia filed a complaint accusing Bhatt’s company of taking money for four films and not delivering as per the contract.

According to the complaint:

A deal was signed to produce four films in memory of Dr. Murdia’s late wife. Money was allegedly paid in advance. Only two films were made, and those were reportedly not credited properly. The film with the highest budget was never started. The police have begun investigating the charges and are reviewing the evidence.

Vikram Bhatt Says Police Are “Being Misled”

Reacting to the FIR, Bhatt told ANI that he learned about the case through media reports and had not received any official notice. He clarified that, according to what he read, the FIR claims he ran a ₹30 crore scam driven by “greed for Rs 200 crores,” which he firmly denied.

“I feel the Rajasthan Police is being misled. I haven’t received a letter, a notice — nothing. If the complainant has given such claims, they must have paperwork. Otherwise, police don’t register such cases,” he said.

Bhatt Questions the Complainant’s Version

Bhatt also challenged the complainant’s statement that they were unfamiliar with the film industry. “If they didn’t understand the industry, why did they start so many films on their own? And why make a third film with me if I supposedly fooled them?”

He alleged that production on one of their projects, Viraat, was halted midway due to the company’s own business decisions — specifically, an upcoming IPO. According to him, the complainant did not pay technicians involved in the project, causing delays.

The Filmmaker Claims He Has Documentation

Bhatt said he has email conversations and contracts to support his version of events. “I have been in the industry for so many years and never faced something like this. I don’t understand what this means. Now we will ask them for proof of what they have filed,” he added.

The Bhupalpura police continue to examine the complaint, documents, and statements from both sides. Further action will be taken based on what the investigation reveals.

Delhi HC flags bias in Aryan Khan’s The Ba***ds Of Bollywood as Sameer Wankhede accuses Netflix show of targeting him

Aryan Khan’s debut directorial series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood, has been caught in a legal storm ever since viewers pointed out that one of the characters appears similar to former NCB officer Sameer Wankhede. The resemblance sparked online debate, eventually leading Wankhede to file a defamation suit against Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Netflix.

Now, the case has reached a crucial stage, with the Delhi High Court questioning the portrayal and the intent behind the disputed scene.

What Triggered the Dispute?

Soon after the show premiered, social media users began highlighting that a character in the series looked “too close for comfort” to Wankhede, the officer who led the high-profile 2021 drug case that involved Aryan Khan. Wankhede argued that the scene not only mocked him but also painted him in a biased and negative light. His petition states that the portrayal has led to public shaming, online trolling, and even threats to his family.

Red Chillies’ Stand: “It’s Satire”

During the latest hearing on November 17, Senior Advocate Kaul, representing Red Chillies Entertainment, defended the creative choices made in the series. He stressed that the show is a work of satire and not a biographical retelling: “I’m entitled to do this. Characters can be inspired. Tomorrow, anyone can say a character resembles them—paparazzi, producers, anyone.”

Kaul also drew comparisons with legendary cartoonist R.K. Laxman, whose iconic work often poked fun at political leaders. He argued that satire has long been part of Indian creative culture. However, the court pushed back on this comparison, saying Laxman’s cartoons did not carry the type of bias that Wankhede claims exists in the show.

Wankhede’s Side: “It Damages My Reputation”

Wankhede’s lawyer, J. Sai Deepak, argued that even if the makers label the show as satire, they must acknowledge who the character is based on since the series references real events.

He said the scene in question brings nothing significant to the narrative but has serious consequences for his client: “It affects me. Red Chillies and Netflix lose nothing if the scene is removed.”

Deepak also claimed that the portrayal has pushed Wankhede into a “public trial” and pointed out that the series has convinced many viewers that he lacks integrity. The advocate went on to mention a review by Kamal R. Khan, which accused the show of mocking Wankhede—something he says contributed to online abuse directed at the former officer.

During the hearing, the court also asked about the ongoing cases involving Wankhede, which include proceedings by the CBI, ED, and CAT. At this point, Wankhede personally addressed the court, asking: “Do I deserve this trial in public opinion?”

The court has not passed a final verdict yet.

Farhan Akhtar starrer 120 Bahadur creates history; becomes first film ever to release in Defence theatres across India

India’s exhibition landscape is witnessing a groundbreaking moment as Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios’ upcoming war epic 120 Bahadur becomes the first film in the country to release across defence theatres nationwide. This landmark initiative, enabled through PictureTime’s mobile cinema network, ensures that a film honouring unparalleled courage will directly reach the brave hearts it pays tribute to.

The Farhan Akhtar-starrer is set to screen exclusively for the defence community in more than 800 cinema halls across India when it opens globally on November 21. The rollout, executed by PictureTime in collaboration with GenSync Brat Media, marks a major leap in accessibility, bringing high-quality cinematic experiences to soldiers and their families posted in remote and previously underserved regions.

Explaining the scale and impact of the initiative, Sushil Chaudhary, Founder-CEO of PictureTime, highlighted the long-standing gap in entertainment access for armed forces personnel. “There are 1.5 million active soldiers and over six million viewers. But only 30 percent of India’s 20-million strong veteran and family audience has access to defense cinemas. We aim to expand the ecosystem to additionally reach the underserved 70% and we begin with a bang with 120 Bahadur, a film we know will deeply resonate with the forces,” Chaudhary said.

Excel Entertainment CEO Vishal Ramchandani echoed this sentiment, emphasising the emotional significance of the film’s defence-first release. “120 Bahadur honours the courage and sacrifice of our armed forces. We feel truly privileged that the soldiers whose spirit the film celebrates will be watching it with their families. Our sincere thanks to PictureTime for facilitating this screening for those who serve the nation.”

Based on the heroic Battle of Rezang La, 120 Bahadur features a strong ensemble cast including Raashii Khanna, Sparsh Walia, Vivan Bhatena, Dhanveer Singh, Digvijay Pratap, Sahib Verma, Ankit Siwach, Devendra Ahirwar, Ashutosh Shukla, Brijesh Karanwal, Atul Singh, along with senior officers Ajinkya Deo and Eijaz Khan.

Directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Amit Chandrra, 120 Bahadur releases in cinemas on November 21, 2025.

Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla win big at Colors’ Dhamaal With Pati Patni Aur Panga; say, “It was a superb way for us to spend time together without life rushing by us”

Colors’ Dhamaal With Pati Patni Aur Panga signed off its debut season with Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla emerging as the Sarvagun Sampann Jodi. The reality series, positioned as a light-hearted look into the dynamics of marriage, quickly became one of the channel’s standout non-fiction successes of the year, offering a mix of humour, emotional moments, and candid exchanges between celebrity couples.

Hosted by Sonali Bendre and Munawar Faruqui, the show brought together seven celebrity jodis who participated in challenges designed to reflect the everyday quirks, conflicts, and warmth that shape married life. Over several weeks, audiences saw the couples navigate unexpected tasks, revisit personal milestones, and address the relatable push-and-pull that accompanies long-term partnerships. The season culminated in a grand finale styled like a big fat Indian wedding, where the couples dressed as dulha and dulhan to symbolically renew their vows in a celebratory setting.

For fans of Rubina and Abhinav, watching the duo together on screen again added a nostalgic charm to the season. Their spirited banter, emotional transparency and light-hearted humour became recurring highlights. At one point, Rubina teased, “Engineers mein sabse poor quality ka romance hota hai,” while Abhinav’s steady gestures—including a heartfelt birthday gift from their financially tougher days—resonated strongly with viewers who appreciated the couple’s authenticity.

After three months of competition, eliminations, and unexpected turns, the couple secured the winning title. Sharing their gratitude, Rubina and Abhinav said, “Dhamaal with Pati Patni Aur Panga was a superb way for us to spend time together without life rushing by us. As a couple, we’re far from perfect, and we, along with other couples, were very candid about our blind spots, and that was super liberating. Winning this trophy is extremely special; it’s the result of all the love we’ve received from the viewers and the supportive spirit of every couple who made this journey so much fun”.

“We want to thank Colors and the makers of this show for creating a space that was honest, warm, and full of heart. Our deepest gratitude to Sonali ma’am and Munawar for their love, gentleness, humour, and guidance. And to the audience, thank you for pampering us like we’re your own family. If there’s one thing we hope our journey reminds people of, it’s this: Love is not about being flawless. It is about choosing each other over everything else, even on the days it feels hardest”, the winning couple added.

With the show now concluded, Colors will release its next non-fiction offering, Laughter Chefs, premiering on November 22 at 9 PM.

He explained, “I'm so proud to say that we are introducing new technology to Telugu Cinema - Premium large-scale format. It is filmed for IMAX.” As expected, the crowd went into a frenzy. S S Rajamouli then asked his team, “Can I have the trailer in full-screen format?”

Sadly, there was a glitch. Rajamouli regretted the error and informed the crowd that 45 generators had been used to power up the screen. After some time, the announcement video was finally played in all its glory and got a roaring response.

Earlier in the day, Prithviraj Sukumaran said how he bagged the film, “The famous S S Rajamouli narration that my friend Prabhas told me so much about, started. 5 minutes into the narration, I was blown away. For the rest of the 3 hours, I heard it not as an actor listening to a narration pitch but more like a little boy who has laid his hands on the next edition of his favourite comic book! The scale, the vision, the ambition – everything was India’s greatest contemporary filmmaking, pushing his own limits to never-before-seen territory.”

Shahrukhz By Danube launch: Shah Rukh Khan’s 30-minute Zoom MIRACLE - Superstar consoles unwell fan Sameera, chats with her online: “He gave her solace, prayed for her. He told her, You'll be fine'”

Yesterday, Bollywood Hungama was the first one to predict that Rizwan Sajan, the founder and chairman of Danube Group, would launch a tower named after Shah Rukh Khan at an event held in Mumbai on November 14. Our news break came true. SRK himself graced the occasion for the launch of the skyscraper, called Shahrukhz By Danube, and as expected, raised laughs and touched hearts with his quotes.

Rizwan Sajan revealed a thoughtful gesture of Shah Rukh, which won hearts, “Once, I was returning from Mumbai. Fortunately, Shah Rukh and Pooja Dadlani were on the same flight. We greeted each other. I was sitting right behind him on the Emirates flight. I called my wife, Sameera, and informed her about it. She's a huge fan of his. She asked me to talk to him. Unfortunately, she is not well. So, she told me, 'Please tell Shah Rukh that I love him and that he should pray for me'. I had reservations about intruding on their privacy. But she insisted.”

Rizwan continued, “I asked Pooja to allow me to speak to Shah Rukh for 2 minutes. When the flight landed, Shah Rukh called me. I gave him my wife's message. Shah Rukh, being humble and so nice as always, asked me when I would reach home. I told him that I'll be home in half an hour. Meanwhile, my son Adel and Sameera were in London. I didn't tell her anything. Once I reached home, I put them on the line. Shah Rukh then came on a Zoom call with her. He spoke to her not just for 5 minutes but for more than 30 long minutes. He gave her solace and good luck. He told her, 'Sameera, you'll be fine'. He also prayed for her. Anybody else in his place would have prayed for my wife's recovery and moved on. But what Shah Rukh did touched the hearts of all of us.”

Rizwan added, “Once when I was in London, I had a dream at 6 in the morning that I was building this tower and that I named it after Shah Rukh. Sameera jumped at the idea. Adel, Sana and my marketing team were also quite excited. I then messaged Pooja and asked if it (making a tower named after Shah Rukh) was possible. After a few days, she said that it was possible. The next day, I was at Shah Rukh's house and we finalized the project.”

The host of the evening, Farah Khan, raised laughs as she quipped, “When Pooja says 'It’s possible', only then it's possible!”

IFTDA files complaint against paparazzi for breaching Dharmendra’s privacy

Bollywood veteran Dharmendra has been in the news over the past few days after reports emerged claiming that the actor had been placed on a ventilator. As speculation intensified, paparazzi gathered outside both his residence and the hospital where he was admitted, leading to a wave of unverified updates across social media. Some portals even prematurely announced his death, further fuelling confusion and concern.

In response to this, Indian Film and Television Directors' Association (IFTDA) President Ashoke Pandit has filed a formal police complaint against certain paparazzi and digital media accounts for invading the actor’s privacy.

In his letter to Senior Inspector of Police Sunil Jadhav, Pandit wrote: “I, Ashoke Pandit, Hon. President of the Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA), wish to lodge a formal complaint against certain unverified and scrupulous paparazzi and online media handlers who have crossed all limits of decency and ethics in the recent coverage related to the illness of Padma Bhushan, Shri Dharmendra Ji, one of the most respected legends of Indian cinema.”

The complaint highlighted that a few media handlers reportedly entered Dharmendra’s residence premises without consent and recorded visuals of his family members. These clips were circulated online, allegedly for “sensationalism and profit.” It added that the act amounted to a violation of privacy and dignity, stressing that such actions fall under offences relating to trespass, privacy invasion, and defamation.

Calling the behaviour “inhuman, unethical, and a gross violation of the right to privacy guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution of India,” IFTDA urged the police to take strict action and set a precedent to deter similar incidents.

Dharmendra was reported to be on life support earlier this week, leading to heightened scrutiny from the media. However, his family later clarified that while the actor was under medical supervision, he was responding positively to treatment. He was discharged from the hospital on November 12 and is currently receiving care at home.

Following his return, Sunny Deol expressed frustration with the photographers stationed outside their residence. In an emotional interaction, he said, “Aap logon ko sharam aani chahiye. Aapke ghar mein maa-baap hain, bacche hain,” urging the media to respect boundaries during a sensitive time.

Several members of the film fraternity have also voiced their concern over the escalating intrusion, calling for restraint and responsible reporting.

Veteran actress Kamini Kaushal passes away at 98

Veteran actress Kamini Kaushal, one of the earliest leading ladies of Hindi cinema, has passed away at the age of 98. Known for a career that spanned more than seven decades, she was last seen on screen in Kabir Singh, where she played Shahid Kapoor’s grandmother, followed by a brief appearance in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha.

Kaushal emerged as a prominent heroine between 1946 and 1963, delivering performances that became milestones of early Hindi cinema. Her memorable roles include Do Bhai (1947), Shaheed (1948), Nadiya Ke Paar (1948), Ziddi (1948), Shabnam (1949), Paras (1949), Namoona (1949), Arzoo (1950), Jhanjar (1953), Aabroo (1956), Bade Sarkar (1957), Jailor (1958), Night Club (1958) and Godaan (1963).

After transitioning to character roles in the mid-1960s, she continued to receive praise for her work, notably for Shaheed (1965). She appeared in several significant films through the decades, including Do Raaste (1969), Anhonee (1973), Prem Nagar (1974), and Maha Chor (1976).

Her passing marks the end of an era, leaving behind a legacy deeply woven into the fabric of classic Indian cinema. A source close to the family said, “Kamini Kaushal’s family is extremely low profile, and needs privacy.”

Bollywood Hungama extends heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Hospital staffer arrested for leaking private video of Dharmendra in the hospital bed as Deol family battles rumours and health scare

The past week has been an emotionally turbulent one for the Deol family, as veteran actor Dharmendra’s hospitalisation sparked widespread concern — and eventually, controversy. After the 88-year-old star was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, a video recorded inside his room began circulating online, triggering outrage among fans and the film fraternity.

According to HT City, police have arrested the hospital staff member responsible for secretly recording and leaking the clip, acting under charges of invasion of privacy. The arrest was made on Thursday, signalling a serious response to what the family and many others deemed a deeply insensitive breach.

The video, which surfaced earlier this week, appeared to show Dharmendra surrounded by his family, including first wife Prakash Kaur. Several medical devices were attached to him, and the atmosphere in the room was visibly tense. Prakash Kaur was seen in tears while Sunny Deol attempted to comfort her. The private moment soon went viral on several social media platforms thus leading to the family taking legal action.

Dharmendra’s health had already been surrounded by speculation and misinformation, with several false reports suggesting a critical condition and even triggering premature death hoaxes. His children, Sunny Deol and Esha Deol, repeatedly urged fans not to pay attention to rumours, sharing reassurances and requesting calm. The wave of inaccurate updates also deeply distressed Hema Malini who criticised sections of the media for what she described as “insensitive coverage” during a vulnerable time for the family.

On Wednesday, more concrete information emerged when reports confirmed that Dharmendra had been discharged. The Deol family released a collective statement addressing fans and the press. “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home,” the note read. “We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family's privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone's love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you.”

With the arrest now made and Dharmendra recuperating at home, the family hopes the focus will return to his recovery rather than sensationalism. For fans across the country, the priority remains the beloved actor’s well-being — and the hope that he returns to good health soon.

Is Shah Rukh Khan all set to unveil ‘SRK Tower’ at the Danube event in Mumbai on November 14?

Over the years, Danube Properties and Rizwan Sajan, the founder and chairman of Danube Group, have created a huge name for themselves with their projects in Dubai, UAE. After organizing a massive event earlier this year in January, Rizwan and the team at Danube are all set for another event which will be held tomorrow, Friday, November 14, at a five-star hotel in Mumbai. While the invite to the January event informed the media that Kartik Aaryan would be present, the publicity team behind the November 14 event has chosen to withhold the name of the celeb who’ll grace the occasion. However, it has been said that it would be none other than superstar Shah Rukh Khan who’ll be present along with Rizwan Sajan at the event tomorrow.

The Danube Group have posted a series of videos on their social media handle in the last two days which has given enough hints about SRK’s association. The videos have used text like ‘The big reveal’, ‘Two stories of success that will change the skyline of Dubai’, ‘From nothing to everything…Two legends one legacy’, all of which point towards SRK. In one video, Punit Malhotra of I Hate Luv Storys (2010) fame can be seen as the director of the ad. He also indicates that he shot with a major star. Lastly, a video posted by the brand earlier in the day shows the actor but purposely blurs his face and identity. Yet despite the blurring, it strongly feels that the star in question is none other than Shah Rukh Khan. Fans in the comments have also begun speculating about it.

In one particular video, Rizwan Sajan reveals that he wanted a very powerful name for the association and that he could only think of one such man. The video also contains the text saying ‘A moment that will define the year’ and ‘A collaboration that the world will talk about’. And that’s not all. In the same video, Adel Sajan, managing director, Danube Group, confesses that “Nobody has dared to make a tower behind a celebrity’s name”. This has led to speculations that a building named ‘SRK Tower’ or something to that effect will be announced at the event tomorrow.

All eyes are now on tomorrow’s Danube event in Mumbai to see if the mystery finally lifts. Will Shah Rukh Khan indeed be unveiled as the face of this landmark collaboration and the rumored ‘SRK Tower’? If the hints are anything to go by, the reveal could turn out to be one of the most talked-about moments of the year.

Raveena Tandon to portray PM Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben in Maa Vande

In an intriguing casting move, veteran actor Raveena Tandon has been confirmed to portray Heeraben Modi the mother of Narendra Modi in the upcoming multilingual biopic titled Maa Vande.

The film, which was officially announced on Modi’s birthday, September 17, is directed by Kranthi Kumar Ch and produced by Silver Cast Creations under the banner of producer Veer Reddy. Leading the project is actor Unni Mukundan, who will step into the shoes of Narendra Modi.

According to those close to the film unit, Tandon was moved by the character of Heeraben. The strength, depth and the arc of the layered character resonated with Raveena. Heeraben’s story including “losing her mother early in her childhood… how she held the family together with calm and fortitude,”  was a motivating factor in the actress signing on.

“Maa Vande is a film that predominantly focuses on mother-son relationship. The film majorly chronicles the sacrifices, resilience and the contributions she made to better his life. And Raveena Tandon was fascinated at this element and wanted to be part of the story,” the source added.

Ahead of filming, Raveena will undergo a complete transformation for her role. The production is said to be mounted on a grand scale, including advanced VFX technology to bring its story to life.

With its focus on an influential figure’s familial roots and the significant role of the mother in shaping a national leader, Maa Vande sets out to explore a less-trodden path in the biopic genre and with Tandon’s powerful presence, the film promises to deliver an emotionally grounded performance.

EXCLUSIVE: CBFC censors frontal nudity scene and 2 sexually explicit visuals in Agra

After touring various festivals, Titli (2015) director Kanu Behl’s Agra will finally arrive in cinemas tomorrow, that is, November 14. The film is known not for its realism but also sexually explicit content. Several moviegoers and journalists watched the uncut version of the film at the 21st MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2023 and were wondering if the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) would allow its theatrical release without any cuts.

Bollywood Hungama has learned that as expected, the CBFC has asked for some modifications. Agra is a rare Hindi film to have frontal nudity and the Examining Committee of the CBFC asked the makers to replace the scene. Similarly, two sexually explicit visuals in the second half of the film were asked to be deleted. Lastly, the CBFC members asked the makers to replace obscene words. Once these changes were made, Agra was handed over an 'A' certificate on May 17, 2024. The length of the film, as mentioned on the censor certificate, is 115.05 minutes. In other words, Agra is 1 hours, 55 minutes and 5 seconds long.

Agra marks the debut of Mohit Agarwal and also stars Rahul Roy, Priyanka Bose, Ruhani Sharma, Vibha Chibber, Sonal Jha and Aanchal Goswami in pivotal roles. It is the story of a sexually repressed young boy, who lives in a small house in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, with his mother, father and his father’s mistress.

Bollywood Hungama had spoken to Kanu Behl after the MAMI premiere of Agra in November 2023. When asked if he was worried that the explicit sexual scenes might be cut by the CFC, he replied, “We’ll see. Hopefully, the censor board will see the film for what it is, how important the film is and what it’s trying to convey. I am hoping that they’ll be reasonable about the film. The sexuality in the film isn’t titillating. We are not trying to use sexuality for any other purpose. It is there to explore people’s sexual lives. The gaze of the film is correct, and I hope the censor board sees it that way and they assess the film through that lens.”

SCOOP: Ajay Devgn to have a cameo in Mastiii 4; actor returns to the franchise after 21 years

In July this year, Bollywood Hungama reported that Genelia Deshmukh has a cameo in Mastiii 4, as evident by the pictures and videos captured by fans and onlookers when a song of the film was filmed at Victoria Square, Birmingham, United Kingdom. Incidentally, Genelia was a part of the first film of the franchise, Masti (2004) as well. Now Bollywood Hungama has learned that one more actor from the first part will be seen in Mastiii 4 – Ajay Devgn!

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Ajay appears in Mastiii 4 in a scene. It is a hilarious sequence which would be a treat for the fans of the actor and of this franchise. He is expected to appear towards the end of the film.”

The source continued, “The makers realized that there’s a great opportunity to bring Ajay Devgn back into the franchise. Accordingly, they approached the actor. Ajay has a great bond with director Milap Zaveri and Indra Kumar. Last year, he was present as the chief guest at the launch of the duo’s film, Tera Yaar Hoon Main. Indra Kumar or Indu ji, as he’s fondly called, has even directed Ajay several times, including the upcoming comic caper Dhamaal 4. Hence, Ajay was more than happy to shoot for the cameo. The scene has turned out well and the makers are looking forward to seeing how the public reacts to it.”

Mastiii 4 stars the Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani, who have always featured in the previous parts of the franchise as well – Masti, Grand Masti (2013) and Great Grand Masti (2016). This time, they are joined by Ruhii Singh, Shreya Sharma, Elnaaz Norouzi, Natalia Janoszek, Shaad Randhawa and Nishant Singh Malkani, along with Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri.

Akshay Kumar-Saif Ali Khan turn Churchgate into ACTION zone for Haiwaan: 30-40 Cars, 100 Junior Artistes, 1 MASSIVE Chase! Priyadarshan says, “Akshay is known to sleep early, yet he shot for 5 nights!”

At one point, several films were filmed on the streets of Mumbai, but this trend has now become rare. However, Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film, Haiwaan, stands out. The actor and co-star Saif Ali Khan shot for nearly 5 days outside Churchgate railway station and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, both of which are located in South Mumbai.

An article in Mid-Day reported that Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan shot a grand action sequence near Churchgate railway station. It was a cat-and-mouse chase sequence and included 30-40 cars and 100 junior artistes. Filming in this location went on for 5 nights and was choreographed by action director Stunt Silva.

The article carried a quote of Priyadarshan that said, “Both Saif and Akshay knew how the sequence had to be shot and they cooperated, though Akshay is known to sleep early.”

Akshay Kumar has wrapped up his portions of Haiwaan and has now left for Dubai for the shoot of Welcome To The Jungle. Priyadarshan further revealed that besides South Mumbai, they also shot in Bandra Kurla Complex and that he still has 9 days of work left with Saif.

Yesterday, Shriya Pilgaonkar uploaded a photo on Instagram where she could be seen posing with Priyadarshan. She informed her followers that she has also completed her shoot for Haiwaan. She added, “An absolute privilege to work with this stellar team led by Priyadarshan sir”.

From Holiday to Haiwaan The last time Akshay Kumar shot in this manner on Mumbai streets was for Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (2014). During its tenth anniversary, its producer Vipul Shah told Bollywood Hungama about how a star like Akshay managed to shoot on the roads, “Mr A R Murugadoss planned it meticulously. We had approximately sixteen hidden cameras. We had marked the whole path and we knew that we’d be able to film just one shot at a time…This is because the moment people would spot Akshay on a Bandra signal, it was going to become chaos. Thousands of people would assemble in no time to catch his glimpse. And then you can’t shoot, as Akshay’s character is supposed to be one of the many people in the crowd. Hence, we’d quickly film the shoot and then Akshay would sit in his car and speed away. We utilized the parking lot of Gaiety-Galaxy. Akshay used to wait there for his next shot. And he knew exactly where he was supposed to walk and what he was supposed to do. We ensured that the shot was done in one take; or else, we would get a chance to do a retake only 2-3 hours later! Thankfully, we got all our takes in the first take itself.”

BREAKING: Korean producer Hyunwoo Thomas Kim approaches Akshay Kumar for an exciting project: “Sujoy Ghosh has already worked on its draft”

Since almost 10 years, Korean producer Hyunwoo Thomas Kim of Kross Pictures has quietly set up base in Mumbai and has been making some interesting, out-of-the-box Indian films like Te3n (2016), Jaane Jaan (2023), Blind (2023), Saakini Daakini (2022) etc. An article in Mid-Day, by Mayank Shekhar, documented his journey in India and a lot more.

Hyunwoo Thomas Kim explained how he decided to set up an office in India. He revealed that in 2014, he regularly received emails from a company named 'Balaji' and he initially assumed that it was spam! One day, when he opened the mail, he realized that the prominent production house, Balaji Motion Pictures, has been mailing and asking for the rights of The Devotion Of Suspect X for a Hindi remake.

Hyunwoo Thomas Kim wanted to know who would direct the remake. He was told that Sujoy Ghosh has been signed. Hyunwoo saw Sujoy’s Kahaani (2012) and was so impressed that he flew down to Mumbai to meet Sujoy and others. After the meeting, he gave them the remake rights too.

Hyunwoo Thomas Kim said in the Mid-Day interview that he was amazed by Mumbai, as everyone spoke English and hence, it was easy to do business. He started frequenting India more. He remarked, “I figured, India has a huge market, great directors, actors… What it lacks is writers of the calibre in Korea. There was a gap to fill. Initially, people thought I was crazy to spend so much time/money [in Mumbai]. Or that I had a girlfriend in India. I don’t!”

However, The Devotion Of Suspect X was finally remade as Jaane Jaan only in 2023. When asked why it didn't get made way back in 2014, he replied that Drishyam (2013) had already been released and was inspired by the same story. Hyunwoo Thomas Kim confessed that he wanted to sue the makers of Drishyam, but didn't as “Ekta Kapoor backed off”.

However, Hyunwoo Thomas Kim won the case against the Kannada hit Pushpaka Vimana (2017), which was a remake of Lee Hwan-kyung’s Miracle In Cell No. 7 (2013), whose rights he holds. The Bombay High Court passed an order restraining the filmmakers of the Kannada movie from awarding any rights in relation to satellite or telecast rights.

Speaking of his forthcoming films, Hyunwoo Thomas Kim revealed that he has approached Akshay Kumar for the remake of a Korean film. He stated, “Just yesterday, I texted Akshay Kumar, who’s in London, asking him to watch a particular film that everyone in the industry knows about. Sujoy [Ghosh] has already worked on the draft. If Akshay agrees, we have a project.”

In the same interview, he also said that he has been received warmly by the Hindi film industry, “I’ve met with everyone, including Shah Rukh Khan, who first messaged me about a script.”

MEGA EXCLUSIVE: Siddhant Chaturvedi to step into the shoes of iconic filmmaker V Shantaram

Siddhant Chaturvedi has impressed audiences ever since he made his film debut with Gully Boy (2019). Recently, he proved his worth yet again with Dhadak 2 (2025). Bollywood Hungama has learned that he has now bagged a film based on the legendary director, actor, producer and writer V Shantaram. The talented performer will play the lead role in this film, which has been titled Chitrapati V Shantaram.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “This will be Siddhant’s biggest film to date and also his most ambitious one. With his past work, he has made it clear that he has oodles of talent. This motivated the makers of Chitrapati V Shantaram to sign him for the lead role. The film is in pre-production right now and Siddhant is working very hard to get into the character.”

The source further said, “V Shantaram’s contribution to the Indian film industry is immense and with this film, the younger generation will learn about it. Chitrapati V Shantaram will throw light on how this man, born in abject poverty in Kolhapur, learned filmmaking under Baburao Painter in Pune, and then left an unforgettable mark in the Hindi film industry with movies like Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baaje (1955), Do Aankhen Barah Haath (1957), etc. This film will also educate viewers that he was a trendsetter - he was the first one to cast women, the first one to sell film music rights and the first filmmaker to attempt a colour film. His films, made at Prabhat Studios, won praise at Cannes, Venice and Berlin Film Festivals and was also honoured with a Golden Globe in the year 1959. Not many are aware that Charlie Chaplin had praised V Shantaram's work and also about his rivalry with Bombay's (present-day Mumbai) elite filmmakers. Hence, the biopic will not just be enlightening but also entertaining and dramatic.”

Hema Malini points out Wikipedia falling for Dharmendra's false death reports: "We request you to find some other way of entertaining yourself"

The media’s lately acquired tendency to jump the gun and kill off celebrities for the sake of headlines, reached a new level of ludicrousness when everyone’s favourite Dharmendra was declared dead on Tuesday morning by many portals.

When this writer spoke to Hema Malini ji she was livid. “How can they do this? How can the media be so irresponsible? This is simply outrageous. Please show some respect for our family. He is critical but improvement is still there.”

She also wondered who was spreading such alarming false news. “Even Wikipedia has fallen for it. Who are these so-called sources spreading false news? We request you to find some other way of entertaining yourself.”

Upset as much with the falsehood as Dharamji’s health, Hemaji said, “We are human beings first, celebrities afterwards. Please don’t treat us as just targets for headlines.”

Rakhee Gulzar, who was recently targeted for similar delusional death reports, said, “Who on earth would want Dharamji dead? May he live to be a hundred, and more. When I was declared dead, I could laugh at the falsehood. But for the family it is not amusing.”

Hema Malini slams ‘unforgivable’ death rumours about Dharmendra; Esha Deol confirms he is stable and recovering

The Deol family was forced to intervene on Tuesday morning after a wave of false reports claiming that veteran star Dharmendra had passed away spread rapidly across social media and certain digital platforms. The rumours, which surfaced shortly after the news broke of the actor being hospitalised for age-related ailments, triggered widespread confusion among fans and prompted an outpouring of concern.

Dharmendra, who was admitted for routine monitoring a few days ago, has been under medical care but remains stable and on the road to recovery, according to his family. Despite his children already keeping followers updated on his progress, misinformation continued to circulate, causing distress to both fans and the actor’s loved ones.

Deeply upset by the insensitivity, Hema Malini took to social media to issue a firm statement condemning the false reports. Calling the situation “unforgivable,” the actress and parliamentarian expressed shock at how “responsible channels” could circulate such baseless news. She emphasised that Dharmendra is “responding to treatment and recovering,” and criticised the spread of rumours as “extremely disrespectful and irresponsible.” She further urged media outlets and social media users to allow the family space during this time, stressing the importance of respecting their need for privacy.

What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy. — Hema Malini (@dreamgirlhema) November 11, 2025

Esha Deol, too, voiced her frustration with the situation, calling out the media’s haste in spreading unverified information. She reassured fans that her father is stable and recovering, adding that the family remains grateful for the prayers and well-wishes pouring in. Her message was clear: the Deols do not seek public speculation, only privacy and sensitivity from those reporting on the actor’s health.

The rumours began circulating after reports emerged on Monday about Dharmendra being admitted to the hospital once again, which was quickly amplified online. By Tuesday, the misinformation had escalated to the point of falsely declaring the actor dead, compelling the family to step in and clarify the truth.

Dharmendra, a beloved figure in Indian cinema with a career spanning over six decades, continues to receive strong support from fans who have flooded social media with messages of love and prayers for his speedy recovery. With his family assuring that he is stable, they hope the public will rely on verified updates moving forward and refrain from sharing misleading content.

Amar Kaushik clarifies rumours about Aneet Padda replacing Kiara Advani in Maddock's next horror comedy Shakti Shalini

Filmmaker Amar Kaushik, who is developing Maddock Films’ next horror comedy Shakti Shalini, has addressed ongoing rumours about the film’s casting. Speculation had been rife that Kiara Advani was initially approached for the project and was later replaced by Saiyaara star Aneet Padda.

Amar Kaushik on Shakti Shalini Casting Rumours

In an interview with Filmygyan, Amar Kaushik—who kickstarted the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU) with Stree—set the record straight. When asked if Aneet Padda was cast after the success of Saiyaara, Amar explained that Kiara was never officially part of the project.

“Kiara is a beautiful actor. Nothing was confirmed, so I don’t know how it came out,” Amar said. “I have always wanted to work with Kiara. When you write a story, you have an idea, and as you develop it further, you realise who fits which character. When Saiyaara came out, we were still in the process of writing Shakti Shalini.”

When asked if Kiara had ever been finalized for the film, Amar clarified, “Nobody was locked. There was nothing like that. We were just exploring who would fit the role. Sometimes even we don’t know the full story, but someone leaks something.”

About Shakti Shalini

Shakti Shalini was officially teased in the end credits of Thamma, which starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. The post-credit announcement confirmed that Aneet Padda would play the titular role, fueling rumours about her casting.

While detailed information about the film is still under wraps, it is known that Amar Kaushik is involved in writing the project. The film will be the next installment in the expanding Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.

The Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU)

The MHCU has been one of Bollywood’s most successful cinematic universes, beginning with Stree in 2018. With hits like Bhediya, Munjya, and the recently released Thamma, the franchise has collectively crossed Rs. 1500 crores at the global box office. Thamma alone has earned over Rs. 180 crores worldwide, further solidifying the universe’s popularity.

Jitendra Kumar and Pooja Bhatt team up for film set in India's traditional pigeon-flying culture

Actor Jitendra Kumar is all set to star in a new film alongside Pooja Bhatt. The project delves into the emotionally rich and rarely explored world of kabootar-baazi—India’s age-old pigeon-flying tradition.

A Story Rooted in Culture and Emotion

Jitendra Kumar, widely loved for his performances in Panchayat, Kota Factory, Jaadugar, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, and the recent Bhagwat: Chapter One – Raakshas, takes on another unique role in this upcoming film. He will be seen as a passionate kabootarbaaz, bringing depth and realism to a character shaped by this traditional sport and its community.

National Award-winning actor Pooja Bhatt will play Jitendra’s on-screen mother. Known for her powerful and layered performances in Zakhm, Tamanna, and Daddy, Pooja returns to a more intimate storytelling space that highlights her emotional strength as a performer.

The Team Behind the Film

The film is produced by Khyati Madaan under her banner Not Out Entertainment and co-produced by Hitesh Kewalya, who is best known for writing Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and both writing and directing Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.

It is written and directed by Bilal Hasan, whose short film Chupchaap earned multiple awards and a Filmfare nomination. This marks Bilal’s debut as a feature film director.

Exploring India’s Pigeon-Flying Tradition

Set against the backdrop of kabootar-baazi—a practice that involves training and racing homing pigeons from neighborhood rooftops—the film aims to capture a culture that continues to thrive in India’s old mohallas and among pigeon-racing communities around the world. While rooted in this traditional setting, the story is ultimately a human drama that focuses on relationships, legacy, and passion. Filming is expected to begin next year.

Not Out Entertainment’s Expanding Slate

Not Out Entertainment is steadily building a diverse lineup of films that blend originality with commercial appeal. The banner is currently producing Abhootpurva, a romantic horror comedy set in 1990s Agra, starring Ritwik Bhowmik alongside an ensemble cast of seven acclaimed actors. Following Abhootpurva, the company will produce a horror film inspired by a real-life national tragedy, starring Ahan Shetty.

With these projects, Not Out Entertainment continues to carve out a niche for itself in Indian cinema by backing stories that are both rooted and refreshing.

Bigg Boss 19 double elimination: Abhishek Bajaj and Neelam Giri out after heated clashes and weekend allegations

Bigg Boss 19 delivered another one of its most dramatic turns this week with the double eviction of Abhishek Bajaj and Neelam Giri. Both contestants, who have been at the centre of multiple controversies since the beginning of the season, saw their journeys cut short after an intense round of nominations and weekend scrutiny.

Neelam Giri’s stint inside the house was marked by frequent reprimands from host Salman Khan. The Bhojpuri actress was repeatedly cautioned for her conduct, including the episode where she was accused of body shaming fellow contestant Ashnoor Kaur. Her run also included a series of confrontations— from a heated fallout with Tanya Mittal, once considered her close ally, to a major clash with Farrhana Bhatt.

Abhishek Bajaj’s journey wasn’t any less turbulent. During the recently aired Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman Khan called him out once again, this time in the presence of Ashnoor Kaur, pointing out how her presence often gets overshadowed by Bajaj. The actor has also been embroiled in controversies linked to personal allegations made by his ex-wife Akanksha, who questioned his chemistry with Ashnoor and accused him of cheating during their marriage. His time in the house further saw repeated arguments with contestants like Baseer Ali and Shehbaz Gill.

The latest elimination has unquestionably reshaped the dynamics of Bigg Boss 19, setting the stage for more drama, shifting alliances, and high-octane faceoffs in the weeks ahead.

BREAKING: Ayushmann Khurrana-Sharvari’s next with Sooraj Barjatya gets a title – Yeh Prem Mol Liya

Bollywood Hungama was among the first ones to break the news that Sooraj Barjatya’s next family entertainer, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari, would go on floors on November 1. We have now learned what this film has got its title. It was reportedly earlier titled Prem Ki Shaadi, but now it has come to light that the film is called Yeh Prem Mol Liya.

A photographer named Ravendra Singh Bhadauria uploaded a picture on Instagram on November 6 that features a DSLR camera resting next to the clapperboard of the film. The clapperboard clearly mentions the name of the film, that is, Yeh Prem Mol Liya.

As per a report in Mid-Day, a week-long shoot was completed in Kandivali. Sooraj Barjatya shot a grand scale in this schedule, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sharvari, other actors of the cast and 200 background dancers.

The Mid-Day article also stated that the next schedule of the film will begin this week at Mehboob Studios. At the Bandra shooting venue, the team plans to complete 80% of the shoot, after which a few outdoor portions will remain. If all goes well, the shoot of Yeh Prem Mol Liya will be wrapped up by January 2026. The film also stars Anupam Kher, Seema Pahwa, and Supriya Pathak in pivotal roles, reportedly.

Yeh Prem Mol Liya is presented and produced by Rajshri Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films and Anita Gurnani. A source told Bollywood Hungama last month, “After Uunchai (2022), Sooraj Barjatya’s last film, Rajshri Productions has decided to join hands once again with Mahaveer Jain Films. Both Sooraj Barjatya and Mahaveer Jain had a wonderful time working with each other on Uunchai and hence, they decided to collaborate once more for the upcoming film.”

EXCLUSIVE: In a RARE development, CBFC passes De De Pyaar De 2 with ZERO cuts

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is known to impose several cuts or ask for replacements and modifications in scenes or dialogues that they find inappropriate or objectionable. Even clean family entertainers have gone through such censorship. Hence, it’ll be a pleasant surprise for our readers to know that De De Pyaar De 2 has proved to be an exception.

Bollywood Hungama has learned that the upcoming Ajay Devgn-R Madhavan-Rakul Preet Singh starrer has not got a single visual or audio cut. The film has been passed as it is by the Examining Committee of the CBFC. The film has received a U/A 13+ certificate and the process was completed on November 6. The length of the film, as mentioned on the censor certificate, is 147.10 minutes. In other words, De De Pyaar De 2 is 2 hours, 27 minutes and 10 seconds long. It releases in cinemas on November 14.

Past experience

De De Pyaar De 2 is a sequel to the Ajay Devgn-Tabu-Rakul Preet Singh starrer De De Pyaar De (2019), which suffered several cuts from the CBFC. Even then, Bollywood Hungama was the first one to break the news about its CBFC process. Back then, the CBFC shockingly deleted the visuals of Rakul Preet Singh holding an alcohol bottle and replaced it with the actress holding flowers! Two dialogues, which had double entendre, were also asked to be modified.

Second zero cut film of the month

De De Pyaar De 2 is the second November release to be passed uncut, the first being Haq, starring Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam. It is based on the Shah Bano case and such controversial and sensitive films often get the maximum cuts from the CBFC. But like the Ajay Devgn-starrer, it also got a U/A 13+ certificate with no cuts. Its length is 136 minutes, that is, 2 hours and 16 minutes and its makers were handed over the censor certificate on October 28. The film was released in cinemas on November 7.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat: Harshvardhan Rane scene goes viral for “shirt-over-dressing” goof-up; doctor roast it on social media

Harshvardhan Rane, currently enjoying box office success with his romantic drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, has unexpectedly become the centre of a social media debate — and this time, it’s not for his performance. A scene from the Milap Zaveri directorial has caught the attention of netizens and even medical professionals, leading to a wave of memes, criticisms and light-hearted trolling.

The moment under scrutiny appears in a sequence where Rane’s character sustains a bullet injury to his arm. While the narrative intends to depict the urgency of medical care, viewers were quick to point out a glaring continuity error: the dressing for the wound is applied over the actor’s shirt instead of on the skin. A doctor, who stumbled upon the clip, shared it on X (formerly Twitter) with a sarcastic caption that read, “Bollywood doctors are soo advanced… Shirt ke upper dressing…”

The post quickly gained traction, and social media users wasted no time turning the clip into meme material. Comments ranged from snarky to outright hilarious, with one user writing, “Maybe they couldn’t afford to tear that shirt,” while another joked, “They don’t use two brain cells.” Some others added to the humour with quips like “Sare COVID me pass out huye hai (they all passed out in COVID),” “Mashoor Gulati is their doctor,” and “Everything is possible in love and Bollywood.” A particularly popular comment read, “Even his shirt got hit by the bullet.”

Bollywood Doctors are soo advanced.... Shirt ke Upper Dressing....???? pic.twitter.com/OmY7sICl8x — Dr Anil Gurjar (@Dr_Akgurjar) November 5, 2025

Despite the trolling, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat continues to draw audiences. The film, described as an intense romantic drama, features Sonam Bajwa alongside Harshvardhan Rane. Directed by Milap Zaveri and written by Zaveri and Mushtaq Shiekh, the project is backed by Desi Movies Factory. Released on 21 October 2025 during the Diwali weekend, it faced competition from the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe title Thamma, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna.

While the blooper has triggered online amusement, it hasn’t dampened the film’s commercial run. For now, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is trending both for its box office performance and for a moment of unintended comedy that the internet refuses to let go.

Aryan Khan to work on his first theatrical release before directing Shah Rukh Khan in planned 2027 film: Report

Aryan Khan, who recently earned appreciation for his debut Netflix directorial The Ba***ds of Bollywood, is already moving ahead with his next set of projects. The series, which featured Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Bobby Deol and an ensemble cast, marked Aryan’s official entry as a director and showcased his inclination towards bold storytelling. With the streaming debut now behind him, the filmmaker is preparing for a larger leap — a theatrical feature.

According to industry sources, Aryan's next directorial will be a full-fledged film intended for a big-screen release. The young filmmaker is reportedly determined to establish himself in the theatrical space before stepping into what will arguably be the most anticipated collaboration of his career — directing his father, superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

A source quoted by Pinkvilla revealed that Aryan is taking a measured, merit-driven approach to his career choices. “Aryan wants to deliver a theatrical success and prove himself as a filmmaker before taking on the challenge of directing his superstar father, Shah Rukh Khan,” the insider shared. The intention, the source added, is to build credibility in the industry by letting the work speak for itself rather than relying on legacy or expectations.

Plans for the father-son collaboration are very much in motion, though the film is not expected to take off immediately. “If all goes as planned, Aryan’s third directorial will feature SRK in the lead. The father-son duo has already locked the core idea, but the collaboration is expected to take shape only in 2027,” the source added.

For now, Aryan is dedicating his attention to completing the script for his second feature film. The project is likely to enter the casting stage soon, with more details about the genre, ensemble, and production timeline expected to emerge in the coming months.

With his debut project sparking conversations and his next two films already generating industry buzz, Aryan Khan appears to be pacing his journey with focus and strategic clarity. As anticipation builds for his theatrical debut — and eventually, his directorial collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan — all eyes are on the young filmmaker’s next move.

HAQ: Madhya Pradesh High Court dismisses Shah Bano’s daughter’s petition against release of Emraan Hashmi, Yami Gautam starrer

In a major development ahead of its theatrical release, the Madhya Pradesh High Court has rejected the plea filed by Siddiqua Begum, who claims to be the daughter of Shah Bano, seeking a stay on the release of Haq. The upcoming film, starring Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam Dhar, has been at the centre of controversy after Siddiqua challenged the makers for allegedly portraying her mother’s story without the family’s consent.

Siddiqua Begum had approached the court demanding a ban on the film’s release and promotional activities, arguing that Haq draws directly from the life and personal experiences of her late mother, Shah Bano, whose historic 1985 Supreme Court case reshaped Indian legal and social discourse. According to Siddiqua, the film infringes upon the family’s privacy and misuses personal details under the guise of creative liberty.

Justice Pranay Verma at the Indore Bench of the High Court rejected the arguments, holding, “Privacy or reputation earned by a person during his or her lifetime extinguishes with his or her death. It cannot be inherited like a movable or immovable property."

The legal team representing Haq, however, strongly refuted the claims. They clarified that the film is not a biographical retelling but is inspired by the well-known Supreme Court judgment in the case Mohd Ahmed Khan vs Shah Bano Begum. The team further stated that the story draws from the published novel ‘Bano, Bharat Ki Beti’ by Jigna Vora, and focuses more on the court proceedings without referencing personal family matters.

The court also accepted the filmmaker’s stance that HAQ is “inspired” by the landmark case. It is fictional and the disclaimer that states the same is also a part of the movie. “Since the disclaimer itself states that the same is dramatization and is fictional and an adaptation of a book and is inspired by a judgment of the Apex Court, it cannot be said that the contents of the film are fabricated. Since the film is an inspiration and a fiction, some amount of leeway is certainly permissible and merely because the same is done, it cannot be said that there has been any sensationalization or false portrayal," the Court said.

In its final verdict, the Court also noted that the film is stated to be largely inspired from publicly available court records. "Once a matter becomes a matter of public record, the right of privacy no longer subsists and it becomes a legitimate subject for comment by the Press and Media amongst others. The same is precisely the fact situation in the present case," it said.

Additionally, the Court also accepted an argument by the filmmakers that the petitioner had an alternative approach of heading to the Central government for revoking or suspending the censor certificate granted by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), instead of coming to the Court directly.

The controversy had previously been addressed by Emraan Hashmi in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, where he expressed the team’s awareness of the issue’s sensitivity. “All I can say is that I think we have been very sensitive to the overall issue. We are not passing judgement or pointing a finger at a particular thing in this film on the case. We have extrapolated certain things inspired from that case. We have been very sensitive in the way we have documented it in the film. Again, it’s a sensitive thing, so I can’t really go beyond that,” he had said.

Directed by Suparn S. Varma, Haq marks the first on-screen collaboration between Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam Dhar. Early screenings have already earned the film strong praise from critics for its compelling narrative and performances.

With the court’s decision now clearing the path, we believe Haq will arrive in cinemas on November 7, as originally planned.

Thamma director Aditya Sarpotdar defends use of item songs: “They’re marketing assets, but my story unfolds through them”

Filmmaker Aditya Sarpotdar, who is currently basking in the success of his latest release Thamma, has addressed the ongoing criticism surrounding the film’s inclusion of three item songs — ‘Poison Baby’, ‘Tum Mere Na Huye’, and ‘Dilbar Ki Aankhon Ka’. The director, who earlier delivered the horror-comedy hit Munjya within the universe, responded to the debate in an interview with SCREEN, explaining his creative reasoning and how such songs play a functional role in modern storytelling and marketing.

Reacting to the backlash, Sarpotdar stated, “All these things are marketing assets that lead you into a film. What counts is what the film gives you in the end. For me, when these songs appear, they’re there because my story unfolds through them.” The filmmaker emphasized that the tracks are not inserted merely for glamour but are woven into the narrative to enhance its rhythm and emotional beats.

The discussion around Thamma’s music gained traction after audiences questioned the need for three distinct item songs in a horror-comedy. Addressing the criticism head-on, Sarpotdar pointed out that audience perception seems to have shifted in recent times. “This is the same audience that loved ‘Taras’ in Munjya and ‘Aaj Ki Raat’. Nobody had a problem then. But now, suddenly, it’s an issue. Maybe it’s just happening more often, so people are reacting differently,” he remarked.

Thamma, which stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, marks the first love story set within the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe — an interconnected cinematic world that includes Stree, Bhediya, and Munjya. Despite receiving mixed critical reviews, the film continues to perform steadily at the box office, drawing audiences for its blend of romance, supernatural intrigue, and quirky humour.

Aditya Sarpotdar’s response reflects a broader conversation about how item songs are evolving in contemporary cinema — from being standalone entertainment numbers to narrative devices and powerful promotional tools. As he puts it, what truly matters is the story that remains long after the music fades.

With Thamma, Sarpotdar once again proves that commercial appeal and storytelling can coexist — even if it means defending a few catchy beats along the way.
