The Amazon MX Player’s StreamNext 2025 was held on January 30 at a five-star hotel in Mumbai and was a star-studded affair. It featured film personalities like Bobby Deol, Suniel Shetty, Malaika Arora, Remo Dsouza, Saba Azad etc. coming to the stage to promote their shows. Meanwhile, Girish Prabhu, Head, Amazon Ads, India, Karan Bedi, Head of Amazon MX Player, Amogh Dusad, Head of Content, Amazon MX Player and renowned tech analyst Benedict Evans spoke about the collaboration of Amazon and MX Player, evolving digital landscape and a lot more. One of the most fascinating announcements made at the event was that several films, which were available on OTT platforms until now, can now be seen for free.

Amazon Prime Video is an SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand) platform, which means that one has to buy a subscription to access its library of exciting films. MX Player, on the other hand, is an AVOD (Advertising-Based Video on Demand) platform. It signifies that one can watch content on the streaming giant for free but with ads. With Amazon and MX Player now coming together, certain films of Amazon Prime Video will now be available on MX Player under the AVOD arrangement and users can enjoy it without paying a single penny.

One of the biggest films in this regard is the Hindi version of Pushpa: The Rise - Part 01. Some other licensed films available now on MX Player are Drishyam 2, Ram Setu, Heropanti 2, JugJugg Jeeyo, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Bellbottom, Satyameva Jayate, Satyameva Jayate 2, Thank God etc. Amazon original films like Jai Bhim (Tamil and Hindi versions), Gehraiyaan, Coolie No 1, Udaan, Sardar Udham, Dybbuk, Durgamati etc. can also be accessed on MX Player.

With actors constantly experimenting with genres and filmmakers, a rare and never-seen-before combination is expected to be in the works, if recent reports are to be believed. It is being said that Kabir Khan, who shares a great bond with Katrina Kaif, is keen on working with the latter’s husband Vicky Kaushal. While the two of them have often cheered and appreciated each other’s work, they have never been able to come together for a project, until now. These reports have claimed that the filmmaker and actor are already in talks for an untitled film, details of which are strictly maintained under wraps.

In a Filmfare report, it has been revealed that Vicky Kaushal and Kabir Khan are contemplating on working together for the film. Although the details are yet to be finalized with no confirmation from either side, a source was quoted sharing the details. "Kabir Khan and Katrina Kaif have had a long-standing association and friendship. Ever since Katrina and Vicky Kaushal came together, Kabir has always been a friend and mentor to Vicky. But now, after all these years, they have finally found a project, where the two can come together. The deal hasn't been sealed yet. But it is as good as done,” stated the source.

Adding to the speculation further, Kabir Khan posted about a two-film partnership with Applause Entertainment on his social media handle last week. While the details of the cast was not yet revealed, audiences have been wondering if Vicky will be a part of one of these films.

On the other hand, Vicky Kaushal is currently a busy actor as he is neck deep in promotions, ahead of the release of his highly anticipated historical drama Chhaava. Coming from the house of Maddock Films, it is a magnum opus starring an ensemble cast and directed by Laxman Utekar. However, it is not the only film on the schedule of the Masaan actor! Telangana High Court restricts children in cinemas before 11 A.M. and after 11 P.M.

In a significant move, the Telangana High Court has directed that children below the age of 16 be prohibited from attending cinemas before 11 a.m. and after 11 p.m. The ruling, issued on January 27 by Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy, aims to safeguard young audiences from late-night and early-morning screenings in theatres.

The court’s decision comes as part of the ongoing hearings of four petitions, including those related to the Telugu films Pushpa: The Rule Part 2 and Game Changer. The petitions highlighted issues surrounding odd-hour shows, benefit shows, and increasing ticket prices.

The court clarified that this directive would apply to all films going forward. Justice Reddy had previously issued an order to ban benefit and odd-hour shows, which had been held between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m. This followed a tragic incident at Sandhya Cinema in December during the Pushpa: The Rule Part 2 premiere, where a stampede occurred.

The new ruling underscores the court's focus on the welfare of minors, particularly with respect to late-night screenings, and aims to prevent children from being exposed to films during such hours. The decision aligns with the broader goal of regulating cinema timings and ensuring safer and more responsible viewing experiences for young audiences.

After being hospitalized, she recovered within a few days and quickly returned to work. In the video, she mentioned calling Rajkummar to apologize for the delay she caused in production, assuring him that she would return as soon as possible to prevent any further losses.

I’m wearing a full-sleeve outfit, and they’ll shoot me from angles where you won’t be able to tell I’m injured. They’ve told me they need me only for a few hours.”

Saif Ali Khan attack case: Mumbai police investigate a woman from West Bengal after they find her SIM card with the accused

The Saif Ali Khan stab case saw a new development on Monday evening when the police found the owner of the SIM, which was being used by the accused – Shariful Islam. Now, in recent development, the police has traced the identity of the SIM card which is expected to be owned by a woman residing in West Bengal, wherein the latter has insisted that her mobile phone has been missing for days.

The investigation proceedings kicked off when the Mumbai police nabbed a certain man named Vijay Das, three days after the incident, who was later identified as Shariful Islam living under an alias. As the probe continued, the police revealed that they realized he was a Bangladeshi national who crossed the border to India in search of better opportunities and have been living under different identities. Recently, they asserted that the accused spent a good amount of time in West Bengal and decided to get a new number for him to stay in touch with his family in Bangladesh. Meanwhile, he soon shifted to Mumbai for jobs and continued working odd jobs in order to avoid presenting documents. In order to gather evidence, the police investigated the Nadia and Murshidabad districts around West Bengal where they arrested Shariful.

Furthermore, the reports also state that the police also investigated his identity wherein they made him contact his brother who shared documents like a school leaving certificate as proofs of his nationality.

Saif Ali Khan attack case: Police reveal ‘awaiting CID report’ amid reports about fingerprint mismatch of the accused

With the investigation taking a new turn every day in the Saif Ali Khan case, latest reports suggested an alleged mismatch between the fingerprint samples collected by the police as evidence from Khan’s Mumbai residence and the accused. For the unversed, three days after the incident on January 16, the police detained a man named Sharif Muhammad – a Bangladeshi national in relation to the case. While the evidence is currently being investigated, shutting down reports of a mismatch, the Mumbai and Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has revealed that they are yet to receive reports of fingerprints match.

CID confirms that reports are yet to be submitted

In a report published by Hindustan Times, Deputy Commissioner Dikshit Gedam opened up about them awaiting the report. “The fingerprint department is yet to submit their report to the Bandra police. We’ll wait for the report before commenting further,” he was quoted saying. Meanwhile, an unnamed official from the CID team too has confirmed the details asserting that they are yet to send across the report. Meanwhile, according to these reports, one of the IPS officers has addressed the ongoing buzz about fingerprints mismatch stating that it is a ‘premature’ assumption, insisting that the investigation of the evidence is currently underway.

Police registers statement from Saif Ali Khan and the house help

As per the recent reports, Saif Ali Khan and house staff, Jeh’s nanny Elyimma Philips have been registered as key witnesses in the case. Philip in her statement revealed that on the early morning hours of January 16, she spotted an intruder while on her way to her room near one of the bathrooms of the apartment. She immediately reacted by screaming for help, but the intruder tried to subdue her voice by attacking her with a knife. Meanwhile, Khan was awakened by her cry for help and immediately jumped into action in a bid to protect his house staff. However, the scuffle that followed resulted in the actor sustaining multiple severe and mild injuries across many parts of his body, following which he was immediately taken into surgery at the Lilavati Hospital in Bandra.

EXCLUSIVE: CBFC reduces lip lock scene in Shahid Kapoor-starrer Deva by 6 seconds

Shahid Kapoor had a great 2024 with Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. It was his only release of last year and also the first hit of 2024. Shahid now will begin 2025 with Deva which is all set to release next week. The makers had completed the censor process in advance and in this article, we shall focus on the cuts received by the action entertainer.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passed the film with a U/A certificate. However, the film had to go through three modifications. The lip lock sequence was reduced by six seconds. The visual of the 'foul gesture' was 'suitably modified. At multiple places in the film, foul words were used and they were replaced with milder words. The change was also done in the subtitles.

The Examining Committee of the CBFC also asked the makers to submit clarification in reference to Hutatma Chowk, located in the Fort area of Mumbai. Lastly, the makers submitted the script as per the dialogues of the film.

Once these changes were made, Deva was given a U/A certificate on December 30. The film is 156.59 minutes long. In other words, the run time of Deva is 2 hours 36 minutes and 59 seconds.

Interestingly, 6 out of 7 Shahid Kapoor’s theatrical films in the last 9 years have been more than 150 minutes long. Rangoon (2017) had a duration of 2 hours and 50 minutes. His 2018 releases Padmaavat (2018) and Batti Gul Meter Chalu (2018) were 2 hours and 43 minutes long each. The blockbuster Kabir Singh (2019) had a run time of 2 hours 55 minutes. Jersey (2022) was 2 hours 51 minutes long. Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya was the only exception, having a duration of 2 hours and 23 minutes.

Saif Ali Khan Case New Update: ‘Was brought to hospital by a friend’, reveal reports

In recent developments, as Saif Ali Khan has returned to his Mumbai home safe and found, the actor submitted his first official statement regarding the incident on January 16 morning to  the police on Thursday. Now in the midst of the same, a photo of a report filed at Lilavati Hospital regarding the incident has surfaced. The photo of the form indicates that a friend of Khan named Afsar Zaidi admitted the actor to the hospital and that the actor arrived to the hospital at around 4:11 am. Followed by the details going viral, several questions left the netizens puzzled.

Reports clarify on the discrepancies regarding who admitted Khan to the hospital

While earlier reports confirmed that Taimur Ali Khan was alone when he arrived with Saif Ali Khan at the hospital in a rickshaw, the same was also confirmed, the child’s former nanny Lalita D’Silva who also works in Lilavati Hospital as the nurse. However, in the photo that is going viral, it has been mentioned that Afsar Zaidi accompanied Saif Ali Khan. Clarifying on the same, Zaidi allegedly told India Today that he received a call from the Pataudis at around 3:30 am and the form was filled only after his arrival, since Taimur was too young to be doing this one.

In his statement, the actor has reportedly revealed that he was in his bedroom with wife Kareena Kapoor Khan when he heard the scream. He immediately recognized it to be his younger son Jeh’s nanny Eliyama Philip and rushed to the room, where he saw the intruder. As a father, he immediately jumped into action which resulted in a spat leading the ‘intruder’ to stab Saif Ali Khan six times.

However, the actor insisted in his statement that he was strong enough to push away the intruder despite the wounds, also describing the quick action taken by his house staff who not only moved Jeh away from his room but also locked the intruder in the same room.

What happened to Eliyama Philip

For the unversed, it was mentioned that Eliyama, who also sleeps in Jeh’s room, was injured during the incident since she was the first one to stop the intruder after he entered Jeh’s room. She went on to add that the intruder demanded Rs. 1 crore from her in return for Jeh’s safety which left her in panic and she immediately screamed to alert the rest of the house members.

The aftermath of the attack

Saif Ali Khan was immediately taken in an autorickshaw to the nearby Lilavati Hospital, after he was stabbed, where the actor received immediate treatment. He was later taken into surgery the same day with the doctors confirming that he suffered severe injuries on his back as well as neck and hands, with the latter being covered by plastic surgery.

Police arrests Bangladeshi national

Meanwhile, the Mumbai police, after a long investigation, arrested the ‘intruder’ who has been identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national. The latter was hiding in Thane, near Mumbai, and according to recent reports, his fingerprints too have been found in multiple parts of the house, including the door handle of Jeh’s room as well as the AC duct on the eleventh floor of the Bandra society where Khan and his family resides.

Last week, the nation woke up to the shocking news of actor Saif Ali Khan being stabbed multiple times at his residence by an intruder during an attempted burglary. Coming back to the case, the police have arrested a suspect and have said that he happens to be a Bangladeshi national. As per the police, the accused, named Shariful Islam Shehzad entered the society where the actor lives by climbing the compound wall while the security guard were reportedly asleep. The attacker stabbed Saif six times, including on his neck, shoulder and back. A part of the knife was removed from the actor’s body during surgery.

Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor starrer Padmaavat to re-release on February 6

On the occasion of its 7th anniversary, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat is set to re-release in theatres offering fans another chance to experience the grandeur of this cinematic masterpiece on the big screen yet again next month as the film re-releases on February 6. Featuring a stellar cast of Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor, Padmaavat remains one of the most visually stunning and commercially successful films in Indian cinema.

While earlier reports suggested that the film is set to release on January 24, a day ahead of its original release date (January 25, 2018), latest news is that the film will hit the theatres on February 6. Although the reason for the shift is yet to be known, the makers decided to confirm the re-release date on social media by dropping an announcement that read, “The epic saga re-releases on a new date - 6th February, 2025! Relive the iconic tale on the big screen”.

As for the film, based on the poem ‘Padmavat’ by Malik Muhammad Jayasi, the movie tells the tale of the Rani’s legendary beauty and her unyielding courage. Upon its original release in 2018, Padmaavat became a cultural phenomenon, due to its grandeur, craftsmanship, and powerful storytelling. With Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmavati, Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji, and Shahid Kapoor as Raja Ratan Singh, the film received much love from audiences and critics.

Saif Ali Khan’s attacker escaped via bathroom duct after attempted burglary; key details emerge

Actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Bandra residence last week late at night by Shariful Islam Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national who broke into the house to allegedly commit robbery. Shehzad stabbed the actor six times before being locked in a bathroom by Khan and his household staff. However, the intruder escaped through the air-conditioning duct before fleeing the premises. Mumbai Police arrested the suspect in Thane after an extensive manhunt involving CCTV footage and local intelligence.

The Attack and Intruder's Escape The incident unfolded around 2 a.m. when Eliyama Philip, nanny to Saif Ali Khan’s sons, spotted the intruder. Assuming Kareena Kapoor Khan was attending to their younger son, she initially ignored the sounds but later realized something was amiss. Upon encountering the armed intruder, Philip sustained injuries while trying to protect herself and the children. The attacker demanded Rs. 1 crore and threatened the household.

Responding to the commotion, Saif Ali Khan confronted the attacker but was stabbed multiple times during the altercation. The actor and his staff managed to trap Shehzad in a bathroom, but the intruder escaped via the air-conditioning duct and fled. Police later recovered evidence, including a face cover, from the actor’s residence, which is now undergoing forensic examination. Saif Ali Khan's Recovery Saif Ali Khan was hospitalized at Lilavati Hospital for five days following the attack. Doctors revealed that one stab wound on his back narrowly missed his spinal cord by 2 mm, leading to spinal fluid leakage that required surgery. He also underwent plastic surgery for facial and arm injuries. The actor returned home yesterday.

2025 has begun on a happy note for the fans of Deepika Padukone. On January 3, her 2013 film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani was re-released and it put up huge numbers. The demand was so huge that theatres had to add many more shows and more theatres also started playing the romcom. 2 days later, on January 5, the fans celebrated the birthday of the star. And now, they are all set to get another surprise. Bollywood Hungama has learned that Padmaavat will be back on the big screen.

A source told us, “Padmaavat is re-releasing, that too in two days from now, on January 24. Its shows will be available only in PVR Inox Cinemas. An announcement is expected to happen in a few hours and then the bookings will be thrown open.”

The source wasn’t aware of how big the release would be. A trade expert commented, “Padmaavat completes 7 years on January 25. Hence, it makes sense to re-release the film on its anniversary. Also, the trend of re-releases is very strong right now.”

Around its release, Padmaavat faced strong opposition from certain groups. As a result, it wasn’t released in Rajasthan. It now remains to be seen if the period drama manages to be screened in one of the 20+ screens of PVR Inox in the desert state.

Besides Deepika Padukone, Padmaavat also starred Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. It was the story of Queen Padmavati, the wife of Maharawal Ratan Singh of Chittor and what happened when Allaudin Khilji, the tyrant Sultan, laid siege on the impregnable fortress of Chittorgarh. Trouble arose when Khilji became obsessed and wanted to capture Chittor and its Queen at any cost.

Padmaavat was directed by the master director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and was one of the biggest hits of 2018. It ended up collecting Rs. 302 crores in India despite not getting a release in Rajasthan.

Jackie Shroff emerges victorious in the 30-year-long legal battle with Atlas

Jackie Shroff has been embroiled in a complex legal and financial battle that has spanned nearly three decades, uncovering allegations of corporate fraud, forgery, and financial mismanagement at Atlas Equifin Pvt Ltd (Atlas). The case highlights systemic lapses in corporate governance and regulatory oversight within India’s financial ecosystem.

Speaking about the same, Jackie Shroff said, “Meri jung kafi salonse jari hai (I have been fighting this battle for years now)!! But I have complete faith in the Indian judicial system. Truth shall prevail.  Adding to it, his lawyer Mr. Rahul Chitnis, continued, “My client has a good case on merits. Several courts have passed judgements in his favour in the matter. The appeals filed by the other side against these judgments have also been dismissed. I am sure that finally the other side will have to pay my client his rightful dues.”

The story began with the Formation of Atlas

In 1994, when Jackie Shroff was at the height of his acting career, he partnered with his friends and Singapore-based associates to establish Atlas Equifin Pvt Ltd. The company was created to support Sony’s entry into the Indian television market. Shroff held a 10% stake, while Indian associates owned 26% and Singapore partners controlled the remaining 64% through Alauda Securities Ltd, Mauritius.

Early Allegations of Mismanagement

While Atlas initially appeared to operate smoothly, allegations of financial misconduct surfaced in 2013. Jackie Shroff accused Atlas’ directors, including Mr. Rakesh Aggarwal, of striking private deals with Sony to sell video rights and sponsored shows, depriving Atlas of significant revenue. Shroff also alleged that Atlas failed to hold Annual General Meetings, declare dividends, or refund his share application money. In response, he filed a petition with the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) under Sections 397 and 398 of the Companies Act, 1956.

The Forged Signature and $80 Million Loan Scandal

Adding to the controversy, Singapore-based shareholders reportedly used their Atlas shares as collateral for an $80 million loan from Standard Chartered Bank. Jackie Shroff was allegedly asked to sign a Mandate Agreement ensuring his liability for any defaults, which he refused. In 2012, Shroff discovered a copy of the agreement bearing a forged version of his signature, prompting him to lodge a complaint with Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW).

Attempts at Settlement and Arbitration

In 2013, a settlement agreement was brokered. Shroff received $1.5 million upfront, with an additional $2 million placed in escrow, contingent on the sale of Atlas’ Sony TV shares. As part of the settlement, Shroff resigned from the Atlas board and granted Power of Attorney to a friend. However, disputes over the settlement’s terms led to arbitration proceedings, resulting in an unfavourable award against Shroff. While he challenged the arbitration ruling in the Bombay High Court, his shares were attached as collateral.

Allegations of Fund Siphoning

Post-2014, Jackie Shroff accused Mr. Aggarwal of siphoning Rs. 149 crores from Atlas’ mutual fund investments. According to Shroff, the funds were funnelled into unsecured loans to entities like Grandway Advisory Services LLP and Grandway Technology Pvt Ltd - companies allegedly linked to lawyer Vishnu Jerrome. These loans were later converted into Non-Convertible Preference Rights Shares (NCPRS), rendering the Rs. 149 crore investment worthless.

Legal and Regulatory Battles

Jackie Shroff filed a second petition with the NCLT in 2024, presenting new evidence of alleged mismanagement and financial misconduct. Both the NCLT and the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) ruled in Shroff’s favor, ordering Atlas to buy back his shares at a fair valuation. However, Mr. Aggarwal has reportedly failed to comply. The Supreme Court dismissed Atlas’ appeal in November 2024, solidifying Shroff’s legal victory.

Meanwhile, the Income Tax Department has been investigating allegations of money laundering involving Atlas’ funds and investments in Singapore-based entities controlled by Mr. Aggarwal since 2023.

Despite the legal rulings in his favor, Jackie Shroff’s shares in Atlas remain unpaid, and his fight for justice continues. In the the last hearing on 9th January, the Court once again rejected Atlas’ plea for more time and threatened to pass Orders for Contempt for which the hearing is fixed on Feb 7, 2025.

Saif Ali Khan to get discharged on January 21: Report

Amid several new angles surfacing about the incident that occured on January 16, the Khan family will soon be heaving a sigh of relief as the actor is all set to return home. According to current reports, the hospital authorities will be discharging Saif Ali Khan after his surgery and treatment as soon as possible. While news about his discharge have been doing the rounds for quite some time now, it was confirmed by the doctors at Lilavati on Tuesday.

Saif Ali Khan to receive discharge on January 21 Dr. Nitin Dange has confirmed the details wherein it is being said that the papers for the discharge were filed on Monday evening. After reviewing the same, the hospital officials will be scheduling the discharge on Tuesday, somewhere between 10 am to 12 pm.

Saif Ali Khan underwent two surgeries For the unversed, Khan was stabbed six times on different parts of his body during an attack at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai. The actor was taken to Lilavati hospital in an autorickshaw where he had to undergo couple of surgeries including plastic surgery to recover from the wounds. The hospital doctors, however asserted that the actor received the right treatment at the right time which played a key role in his recovery.

More details on the attack While initial reports suggested that this was robbery that went wrong, it seems that the police continue investigate every angle. As per the latest reports, Khan’s wife Kareena Kapoor Khan was summoned to give her statement, wherein, she revealed that Saif Ali Khan sustained these injuries while trying to protect the attacker from going towards her second son Jeh. In the statement, she reportedly, also insisted that ther were some pieces of jewellery lying around the house, which the intruder didn't seem interested in.

Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan has received immense support from the industry folk who have expressed concern and raised questions about the security given to celebrities.

This has not only sparked debate on social media over the inequal treatment offered to celebrities and common citizens, but a doctor has joined this discussion and showcased his support over this, explaining the hassles middle-class citizens have to undergo to receive their not-so exorbitant claims.

In a post shared on X aka Twitter, the doctor has addressed the challenges faced by common man for extensive surgeries wherein they have to undergo extensive procedures to receive a sanction of amounts above Rs. 5 lakhs. He raised questions as he questioned these companies over their change of attitude towards famous personas and celebrities. The insurance company Niva Bupa confirms details of Khan’s insurance

After the claim went viral on social media, the insurance company Niva Bupa confirmed the details to Mint wherein they issued a statement that read, “The recent unfortunate incident with actor Saif Ali Khan is deeply concerning. We wish him a speedy and safe recovery. Mr. Khan is one of our policy holders. A cashless pre-authorisation request was sent to us upon his hospitalisation, and we have given an approval of an initial amount to start the treatment. Once we receive the final bills post the complete treatment, it will be settled as per policy terms and conditions. We stand with Mr. Khan and his family in this distressing time.”

About the attack on Saif Ali Khan and his medical treatment

On January 16, Khan was attacked at his Mumbai residence in the wee hours of dawn in an ensuing scuffle with an alleged robber. The actor sustained multiple injuries and was immediately rushed to the Lilavati Hospital, where he was taken into surgery within a couple of hours after being admitted. From thoracic spine surgery to covering wounds with cosmetic surgery, the actor underwent quite a bit of treatment and is currently on the recovery process.

Saif Ali Khan Attack: Mumbai Police arrest another suspect from Thane, evidence suggests he is a Bangladeshi

A man was arrested in Maharashtra's Thane early this morning for allegedly attacking Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his Mumbai residence, according to the police, as per a report by NDTV. The accused, 30-year-old Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, was apprehended near the Hiranandani Estate in Kasarvadavali, located about 35 kilometres from Khan's residence.

 

“Investigation has revealed that he went to Saif's house with the intention of theft. It seems the accused is a Bangladeshi,” senior police official Dixit Gedam stated during a press conference following the arrest.

He added, “We have recovered some items from him that suggest he is from Bangladesh. He came to India illegally and changed his name to Bijoy Das. He has been living in Mumbai for about four months and was working at a housekeeping agency.”

The intruder reportedly managed to break into Saif Ali Khan's home through the back fire exit. His maid spotted him and screamed for help. When Khan confronted him, the attacker stabbed him six times before fleeing. The actor was quickly rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where doctors have reported that he is recovering well.

A police statement said as per the publication, “The robber asked for money and when he was opposed, he attacked the maid Junu and Saif Ali Khan and injured them. Police have taken the accused into custody on the basis of technical evidence. The accused's name is Shariful Islam Shehzad and he is a Bangladeshi national.”

Earlier on Saturday, a suspect identified as 31-year-old Aakash Kailash Kannojia from Mumbai was detained at Chhattisgarh's Durg railway station. Officials stated that he was “caught from the Mumbai-Howrah Jnaneswari Express based on information provided by the Mumbai Police.”

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials said, “Around 2 pm, when the train reached Durg, the suspect - who was sitting in the general compartment - deboarded and was immediately taken into custody. He is being interrogated.”

“The Mumbai Police had sent the suspect's photo, train number and location to the RPF, after which he was caught,” they said. “The man was travelling without a ticket,” they added. Sources noted that the detained passenger resembled the suspect in the actor-stabbing case.

A second suspect in the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case has been detained in Durg, Chhattisgarh, after a 50-hour-long manhunt. Mumbai Police confirmed that the Railway Protection Force (RPF) apprehended the individual, who was traveling in the general compartment of a train. The suspect, believed to match the attacker seen in CCTV footage from the actor’s Bandra apartment, is currently being interrogated. The earlier suspect was detained from Madhya Pradesh.

The Mumbai Crime Branch launched an intense investigation after the Bollywood actor was attacked during a suspected burglary attempt at his Bandra home. The suspect was last seen in surveillance footage from Bandra and Dadar railway stations, carrying a black "Fast Track" bag, which has become a key piece of evidence.

CCTV footage from various locations, including Bandra and Dadar, provided vital leads for the police. Based on this evidence, authorities alerted the Railways, leading to the suspect being detained in Chhattisgarh's Durg district. His mobile number is reportedly registered under the name Rajendra Kodepe, from the Rajnandgaon district. However, official confirmation of this identity is pending.

The suspect was caught with the help of local law enforcement while aboard a train. He closely resembles the individual seen fleeing from the crime scene. According to police sources, the bag he carried was purchased from a local roadside market.

Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times by an intruder during a suspected burglary attempt at his luxury Bandra apartment. The actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital by an autorickshaw driver, where he underwent emergency surgery to remove a 2.5-inch blade fragment from his spine.

The police have been questioning key witnesses, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, the couple’s nanny, and the autorickshaw driver. Despite the suspect’s detention, no concrete evidence has been found yet. Mumbai Police is working to confirm the suspect’s identity and motive.

As per a report by India Today, the intruder managed to enter their 11th-floor Bandra residence and confronted a maid before being stopped by Saif. As the situation escalated, Saif sustained severe injuries, including a knife wound to his spine, which required immediate surgery.

Details of Attack on Saif Ali Khan Kareena’s statement confirmed that Saif Ali Khan’s quick response ensured the safety of their children and others in the house. “Saif was the first to intervene and prevented the attacker from reaching Jeh. The women and children were moved to the 12th floor for their safety,” Kareena told the police. Despite the intruder’s aggression, valuables such as jewellery left in the open were untouched. Following the attack, Kareena’s sister Karisma Kapoor took her and the children to her residence, while Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hospital. Police Investigation Underway The Mumbai Police have intensified their investigation into the attack. Over 30 statements have been recorded, and CCTV footage from the Bandra area has been seized. Currently, three suspects are being interrogated, but no arrests have been made. In addition, 20 police teams and 10 Crime Branch teams have been deployed to solve the case. Authorities are working around the clock to identify and apprehend the perpetrator.

Doctors at Lilavati Hospital successfully performed surgery on Saif Ali Khan, removing a 2.5-inch knife blade from his spine and repairing a spinal fluid leak. While the actor remains under observation, his condition is stable. Kareena expressed her gratitude to the medical team and the police for their swift action in managing the crisis.

Kareena and Saif, who have been married since 2012, share two sons, Taimur and Jeh. Reflecting on the incident, Kareena’s concern for her family’s safety is evident. “We were all shaken, but Saif’s bravery kept us safe,” she shared earlier in a social media post.

Diljit Dosanjh's highly anticipated Punjabi film Panjab 95 is set to release on February 7, 2025. The actor-singer shared the teaser of the film on his Instagram, accompanied by the hashtag 'Challenge The Darkness'. He also specifically mentioned that the film will be released without any cuts. Directed by Honey Trehan and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, the project promises to captivate audiences.

The trailer opens with Arjun Rampal's character reflecting on how the history of Punjab is often reduced to significant events like Operation Bluestar, the assassination of Indira Gandhi, and the 1984 riots. We are then introduced to Diljit Dosanjh, who plays Jaswant Singh Khalra, a Sikh rights activist. Khalra was investigating illegal killings and cremations carried out by the Punjab police.

Due to the sensitive nature of the film's subject, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had earlier recommended 120 cuts for Panjab 95. But, as per Diljit’s aforementioned Instagram post, the film is releasing with no cuts. The movie was also screened for the family of Jaswant Singh Khalra in 2022, and sources revealed that they were extremely pleased with the final version.

The film is expected to depict the life of Jaswant Singh Khalra before he was tragically kidnapped, tortured, and murdered by the police. At least six officers were booked for their involvement in the crime.

TV actor Aman Jaiswal, famed for his role in the popular series Dhartiputra Nandini, tragically passed away in a road accident in Jogeshwari West area of Mumbai yesterday. The actor was reportedly struck by a truck on one of the city's busy roads, leading to his untimely death.

The accident occurred on Hill Park Road at around 3:15 pm. Police reports indicate that the truck driver struck Aman Jaiswal while he was riding his motorcycle.

Jaiswal was rushed to the trauma ward of Cama Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The truck and its driver are now in police custody, and a case has been registered at Amboli police station, according to ANI, citing Mumbai Police.

Aman Jaiswal was on his way to an audition when a truck collided with his bike on the Jogeshwari highway, Dhiraj Mishra, the writer of Dhartiputra Nandini, told India Today.

Aman Jaiswal's final Instagram post was about the Dhartiputra Nandini serial, where he shared his journey and revealed that his decision to pursue acting faced significant opposition from his family.

Originally from Balia, Uttar Pradesh, Aman Jaiswal rose to fame for his lead role in Dhartiputra Nandini. He started his career as a model before appearing in the popular show Udaariyaan, produced by Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta.

A day after actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by an intruder at his Bandra residence, an auto-rickshaw driver Bhajan Singh Rana, who took him to the Lilavati Hospital, said he was not aware that the passenger he was taking to the Hospital was film actor Saif Ali Khan.

He said, “I drive my vehicle at night. It was around 2-3 am when I saw a woman trying to hire an auto but nobody stopped. I could also hear calls for a rickshaw from inside the gate. After I took a U-turn and stopped my vehicle at the gate, a man who was covered in blood came out. 2-4 people also accompanied him.”

He added, “They put him in the auto...They decided to go to Lilavati. I dropped them off there...I then came to know that he is Saif Ali Khan...I saw him bleeding from his neck and back.”

John Abraham announces new release date of his film The Diplomat; shares social media post

Nikkhil Advani rules out Kal Ho Naa Ho sequel; says, “Shah Rukh Khan embodies…. Not a single person can do it”

Nikkhil Advani’s beloved film Kal Ho Naa Ho was re-released in theatres last year, allowing fans to experience the charm of Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta once again. The movie's overwhelming reception sparked speculation and excitement about a potential sequel. Nikkhil Advani recently discussed this possibility in a conversation with Mukesh Chhabra for Mashable.

When asked about recasting Kal Ho Naa Ho, Nikkhil Advani firmly stated, “You can’t make a new cast. Why would you want to? Shah Rukh is Shah Rukh. It doesn’t matter if they still look the same… Shah Rukh Khan embodies…. Not a single person can do it.”

The filmmaker also confirmed that a sequel is not being planned and expressed his belief that Kal Ho Naa Ho 2 should not be made. He explained, “Kyu karoge aap? Log aake mujhe bol rahe hain make a part two. Abhi it re-released right? Films I’ve done… Kal Ho Naa Ho re-released, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham re-released, Karan Arjun re-released.
