Anurag Kashyap directorial Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat based on ‘Love Jihad’

Love Jihad, whatever that means, is the theme of Anurag Kashyap’s new film Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat. Debutant Karan Mehta plays a Muslim boy in an intense relationship with Alaya F who plays a Hindu girl. Kashyap has spared the audience none of the ugliness that such a relationship generates among social-media bouncers, the self-styled guardian of morality. In the hard-hitting powerful and pertinent film a bigot is heard commenting snidely, “These people first talk about Mohabbat. Then they talk about Mohammed.” Happily and surprisingly, the Central Board Of Film Certification gave the film a ‘UA’ certificate with no cuts: a rare non-‘A’ film of Kashyap. So far Kashyap and his team have kept the Love Jihad part of the plot out of all media interaction. But the cat is now out of the bag. Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor starrer Bawaal postponed due to VFX and technical requirements

Varun Dhawan fans have been eagerly waiting to see the actor on the big screen and Bawaal added to anticipation as it was bringing together VD and Janhvi Kapoor for the first time on the big screen. However, it seems that they have to wait a little more since the latest update on that front is that the film is witnessing a few delays due to technical issues. Sources close to the film claimed that the Sajid Nadiadwala production may be pushed further because Nitesh Tiwari and the team of the film are keen on using a special kind of technology for the film. Sources claim that the filmmakers are quite ambitious about the onscreen presentation of Bawaal and hence are even shooting it using a special technology in Poland. Confirming the same, the director Nitesh Tiwari explained that in order to maintain the quality of the film, they decided to postpone its release, instead of compromising on the effects. He said, “The visual finesse we want to achieve on these sequences will need more time than we expected. We don’t want to cut short at anything because our purpose is to bring nothing but the best version of our vision to our viewers.” Readers would be aware that Bawaal was extensively shot in Poland wherein Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor were constantly seen sharing photos and videos on social media, giving a glimpse of the picturesque locations they shot the film in. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film was expected to release on April 7, 2023. However, owing to the latest developments, while the release is pushed further, the makers are yet to make an announcement about the new release date of the film. Bigg Boss 16: Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia becomes the first finalist of the reality show

Just a day ago, we had reported about a Ticket to Finale task given by the master of Bigg Boss 16 to contestants where they were asked to nominate the contestants that they thought didn’t deserve to be in the house.  While the task saw contestants nominating their housemates individually, in the final leg of the activity, when Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Shiv Thakare, and Sumbul Touqeer were standing to be ‘bombed’ in the activity, the mandali refused to pick and choose contestants from their side whereas Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Archana Gautam too retained a similar stand when it came to the contestants allotted to them. For the unversed, in the last episode, a makeshift television was placed in the garden area, where contestants and the master of the house got to decide who gets the chance to eliminate whom from the captaincy race by bombing the contestant with a remote control. In the task, Nimrit ‘bombed’ Priyanka’s cassette first whereas Sumbul bombed Shalin’s. While Shiv ‘bombed’ Archana, Shalin ‘bombed’ MC Stan, which resulted in them being out of the Ticket To Finale race. The result was that Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Shiv Thakare, and Sumbul Touqeer were the final ones standing but the ‘mandali’ as the team is fondly addressed as, refused to bomb each other. And a similar stand was taken by the other team, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Archana Gautam where the girls refused to ‘bomb’ the contestants that were assigned to them. Hence owing to the turn of events, Nimrit eventually maintained her positon of being the captain, thus making it to the finale. Readers would be aware that it was a ‘ticket to finale’ task where a contestant, who is chosen as captain, gets a direct entry to the finale of Bigg Boss 16. Now that Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia has already become a finalist, it remains to be seen, whom she will be competing with on the show. Netflix to celebrate Yash Chopra’s legacy through the docu-series The Romantics

Streaming giant Netflix is all set to celebrate the late legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra and his banner Yash Raj Films through the docu-series titled The Romantics. Directed by Smriti Mundhra, the show will be released on the Valentine’s Day on February 14 and it will be Netflix’s tribute to Chopra, who was known as ‘Father of Romance.’ Throwing more light on The Romantics, an official statement from the makers said, “The star-studded, four-part docu-series will feature 35 leading voices of the Hindi film industry and dive into the history of Bollywood through the lens of YRF’s impact in making Bollywood a household name globally. The global streaming giant will release the trailer of the docu-series in 190 countries tomorrow. Shah Rukh Khan on the massive success of Pathaan worldwide: ‘In these four days, I’ve forgotten my last four years’

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan returned to the big screen in a lead role with Pathaan on January 25, 2023 and has obliterated box office records. After 2018’s Zero, this is his first lead role in a while whereas he had several productions and cameos over the past few years. The film stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham alongside Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia. SCOOP: Kartik Aaryan delays Shehzada to February 17 out of respect to Shah Rukh Khan

Shehzada is among the most anticipated Bollywood films of the year and why not – it marks the return of Kartik Aaryan to the big screen after the blockbuster success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa. While the trailer and music of the film has been trending across all the digital platforms, Bollywood Hungama has discovered that Shehzada, which was announced to arrive on February 10, 2023, has now been delayed by a week. “Pathaan is doing unimaginable business at the box office in India and is finally the Bollywood film that can break the records of Baahubali 2. The film is doing record-breaking business in India and Kartik Aaryan feels it will be unfair to release just 2 weeks after a film that’s doing so well for the film industry. Out of respect to Shah Rukh Khan, and the fact of both films eating on to each other’s business, Kartik and Shehzada producers have decided to delay the film by a week,” a source told Bollywood Hungama. The Shehzada team is confident that this move will benefit both Pathaan and Shehzada. “Releasing on February 10 does not even make business sense, as Pathaan will continue to be the talk of the town due to its record-breaking run. It makes business sense to arrive a week later, as that would benefit both the films to earn big and also give a breathing space to the audience.” Shehzada also stars Kriti Sanon and Paresh Rawal in lead roles. Suresh Triveni to direct two projects for his banner Opening Image following Jalsa

Filmmaker Suresh Triveni’s last movie Jalsa, which released last March on Amazon Prime Video, received appreciation for its content as well as the performances from Vidya Balan, Shefali Shah and veteran actress Rohini Hattangadi. Following the film, Triveni announced his own creative studio and production house named Opening Image, in partnership with Vikram Malhotra-led Abundantia Entertainment. Triveni is now ready to roll his next two directorial ventures under his banner. Sharing more about his plan, an official statement from his publicist said, “While one film is an out-and-out action drama, the other one is a dramedy with an element of thrill that explores questions of identity in today’s world. While more details on both films are being kept under wraps, both are set to feature prominent A-list actors and roll in the next 12 months. Beyond Suresh’s directorial films, there is an exciting slate of content in development with young and fresh writers and creators, all set to be launched under Opening Image.” Sharing further future plans, Trivedi said in a statement, “The vision for Opening Image is to create disruptive stories and provide a platform that encourages young talent to tell their stories. Annu Kapoor discharged from hospital as his health improves

Veteran actor Annu Kapoor was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi on January 26 after he complained chest pain. The artist was kept under treatment for four days. Thankfully, for his fans and well-wishers, his condition improved over the days and he was discharged from the hospital last night, as reported by Indian Express through the Press Trust of India. As per the agency, the news was shared by Dr Ajay Swaroop, Chairman, Board of Management, Sri Ganga Ram Hospital. As per the publication, Kapoor was treated by a team of cardiologists comprising, Dr J P S Sawhney, Dr Rajneesh Jain, Dr Rajiv Passey, Dr BS Vivek and Dr Sushant Wattal. The publication also quoted Dr Rajneesh, co-director of cath lab and head of unit, saying, “Kapoor was discharged today in a stable condition.” Kapoor has been one of the most accomplished actors from Bollywood over the decades. After making his debut in the parallel cinema of the early 1980s, he has gone onto act in over 100 movies, along with television serials. Since recent years, he has also ventured into the latest fad of web shows. His last released work in the web space was the Amazon Prime Video show Crash Course. Kapoor is also currently hosting the musical show Golden Era with Annu Kapoor since several years. After much speculation surrounding the role on whom the film’s title is based, Anurag Kashyap reveals Vicky Kaushal as DJ Mohabbat in his directorial Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat, co-starring Alaya F and Karan Mehta. This also marks the fourth collaboration between Anurag Kashyap and the actor, who plays a special role and will feature in a never-seen-before avatar in the coming-of-age romantic film. Talking about the special role of Vicky Kaushal in the film, Anurag Kashyap said, “The character of DJ Mohabbat is so integral to the story, that I wanted someone special to play it. DJ Mohabbat is the voice of love, and is the conduit between two stories and I wanted someone who is that. Someone everyone loves because they trust and believe him. Anurag Kashyap expresses regret for turning down Sushant Singh Rajput's invitation to collaborate

Anurag Kashyap recently made headlines where he expressed guilt over his public statement about his Dev.D actor Abhay Deol and privately about the late Sushant Singh Rajput. In an interview, Anurag accused Abhay of being difficult to work with, claiming that the actor insisted on staying in a five-star hotel separate from the rest of the cast and crew. Abhay had denied this.  Anurag had revealed shortly after Sushant's death that he had refused to speak with him about a project because he was resentful of being ghosted by the actor in the past. The filmmaker discussed his differences with Abhay and Sushant in a new interview with Showsha. He said, “It’s taken me a year-and-a-half of sickness to realise a lot of things. I was so reactive; I would say things. I would say things out of anger, out of reaction, to things I felt perturbed by. It took me time to realise that I’m shouting, I’m shouting in a room full of people shouting. Nobody’s listening to each other, not just to me. That’s what social media has become. And I stepped back. I said, ‘Why am I reacting to this? What is bothering me?'”  He further added, “A lot has changed, but I know I have no filter. But it’s also made me realise I don’t need to say everything… For example, that whole spat between me and Abhay. Somebody was doing an article about why a very good actor like Abhay is no longer in the movies, and I spoke about my experiences, something that happened 13 years ago. I didn’t need to say it publicly. And the day the unfortunate incident happened of SSR, I felt so bad. Three weeks prior to that somebody was trying to reach out because he wanted to talk, and I was like, ‘No, he ghosted me, I don’t want to talk’. You get pangs of guilt. So, I tried to reach out to Abhay and I apologised to him, because somebody had told me that he was upset about me speaking publicly about him.”  Anurag stated that he told Abhay that it was fine to yell at him and then apologised repeatedly for what he said. However, Abhay appeared to be upset about what Anurag had said about him as recently as last month. Abhay called the filmmaker a "liar" and a "toxic" person in an interview with mid-day. Anurag acknowledged that they had both changed and expressed regret for what he had said.  Anurag had stated in a 2020 interview with NDTV that he was disappointed that Sushant had backed out of projects with him in favour of more high-profile jobs. He stated, “YRF called him and said, ‘We’ll give you a deal. You do Shuddh Desi Romance.’ Sushant, who used to sit in my office with Mukesh and all of us used to sit together, signed up with YRF and dropped Hasee Toh Phasee, a film of an outsider because usko validation YRF ka chahiye tha (he wanted validation from YRF). Jacqueline Fernandez receives permission to travel to Dubai from Delhi High Court

Jacqueline Fernandez, who is currently being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate owing to her alleged involvement in the Sukesh Chandrashekhar Rs. 200 crore extortion case, has been granted the permission to travel abroad for professional commitments, albeit with certain conditions. The actress had earlier approached the Delhi Patiala High Court seeking the permit for travelling abroad to attend her scheduled performance for PepsiCo India conference where she was to perform at the Annual Bottlers Conference in Dubai. On Friday, the Delhi Patiala High Court granted permission to Jacqueline Fernandez to travel to Dubai after her counsel argued that the actress may face lawsuit from the brand for non-participation if she doesn’t make it to the conference. Considering the same, the court has granted her permission to travel but along with that it has also observed that it will come along with some conditions. Owing to the fact that the ED is still investigating the Sukesh Chandrashekhar case, for which, she has been named as a witnessed, the court has laid certain guidelines for the actress including a FDR of Rs. 1 crore, in case she doesn’t return. As per the court order, the actress is also expected to give a full disclosure of her stay details in Dubai including itinerary, arrival, and departure. In the past too, Jacqueline Fernandez had filed a plea seeking permission to travel but had withdrawn the same. While the counsel argued that the actress decided to cooperate in the investigation and decided against traveling for personal reasons, the current reason for her to insist on leaving for Dubai is because of the professional repercussions she may face if she doesn’t attend the event. On the other hand, the ED opposed it not only stating that the case is still under investigation but also pointing out that Jacqueline is a foreign national which increases the threat of her fleeing. After listening to both arguments, the court upheld its decision of allowing Fernandez to travel for the conference but keeping in mind the ongoing investigation of the Sukesh Chandrashekhar Rs. 200 crore extortion case, the court has asked the actress to strictly adhere to the guidelines that have been laid down. Keep making good content; there are no boundaries for good content. This (Appatha) is going to make great news at the box office and will be seen across the world." India is hosting the G20 Summit in 2023, and it also holds the SCO Presidency, according to the minister, making it a significant year for the country. He asserted that India and the SCO have close ties, and for many years, residents of the SCO's member countries have praised and adored Indian movies. "In one-year (these) big events are happening in India. And we have a lot of showcases, especially our rich cultural heritage, (and) we should only be proud of it. The world of cinema is incomplete without India and India is the largest filmmaking country and of late we are making right news, right noise at the international level," he added. The festival's mission, according to the minister, is to foster young filmmaker potential, foster relationships in the film industry, and function as a bridge between the cultures of this distinctive region. It also offers exchange programmes. When Thakur inquired about Akshay Kumar's readiness to appear in foreign movies, the 55-year-old actor responded, “I believe in being aatmanirbhar (self-reliant) and will do Hindustani films." On the other hand, Shroff asserted that he is open to acting in foreign films and that he thinks that cinema transcends all languages. He said, "Films transcends boundaries, it is a visual medium and creativity has no language. I am very happy to be here and be part of this event and celebrate Indian cinema and its growth, and of course world cinema and all the countries that have participated and showed their talent." Hema Malini asserted that a major factor in an actor's increasing notoriety outside of India is participation in film festivals. "Through the festival a lot can happen. Shaheer Sheikh rescues 16-month-old daughter, wheelchair-bound father-in-law and wife Ruchikaa Kapoor after fire breaks out in Andheri building

Last to last night was tough for the family of popular TV actor Shaheer Sheikh. For the unversed, on January 25, 2023, a massive fire broke out in the actor's building. Shaheer Sheikh's wife Ruchika Kapoor took to her verified social media handle and shared the details of the horrific incident. On a long note, Kapoor stated that she was at home with her 16-month-old daughter and parents and at around 1.30 am, she got a call that their building was on fire. However, after a lot of effort, the whole family was evacuated safely. Ruchikaa Kapoor thanked the firefighters and explained the incident in detail. She said that her father is wheelchair-bound while her daughter Anaya is just 16 months old. Given this, it was very difficult to get down the stairs from her 15th-floor apartment. Ruchikaa further added that Shaheer Sheikh and his brother-in-law along with firefighters came to rescue her. After a lot of effort, the whole family was evacuated till 5 in the morning. 9 Bajrang Dal activists detained for disrupting screening of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan in Faridabad

While a section of moviegoers is celebrating the return of Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen in the lead with Pathaan, some fringe groups across the country are still protesting against the film. For the unversed, ever since the makers dropped the song ‘Besharam Rang’ starring Deepika Padukone in a saffron-colour bikini, some ‘religious’ organisations, including Bajrang Dal, started the boycott call for the film. After all the protests, the film was released on the day it was slated to be, which was yesterday. However, Bajrang Dal continued to condemn the release of Pathaan even today. And, they did not stop there. In Faridabad, a bunch of their members disrupted a mall, in whose multiplex Pathaan was been screened. Reportedly, nine Bajrang Dal activists were detained in Faridabad for tearing posters of Pathaan and disrupting the film's screening at Crown Interiorz Mall. As per a report by ANI, on Wednesday, the manager of INOX in the mall registered a case that some miscreants have torn the posters of the Pathaan movie in the mall. Later, a local police team reached the spot immediately. It is said that the team has detained nine members of Bajrang Dal. A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections including trespassing and an investigation is underway. Meanwhile, other accused are being identified through CCTV footage and the culprits will be sent behind bars for their hooliganism in Faridabad, stated the report. Speaking of the Siddharth Anand directorial, it has witnessed a record-breaking start at the box office. Besides SRK, the film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham whereas Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia are playing other significant characters. Sarfarosh fame John Mathew Matthan joins Vivek Agnihotri, Priyadarshan and others for the series One Nation

Filmmaker John Mathew Matthan had a dream directorial debut with the Aamir Khan and Naseeruddin Shah-starrer Sarfarosh. The film, which won critical and box office accolades, is still remembered. However, his next film Shikhar (2005), which starred Ajay Devgn and Shahid Kapoor, didn’t do well. His following project A New Love Ishtory couldn’t get completed. Now, Matthan has bagged a web-series titled One Nation. The Sarfarosh filmmaker will be directing one episode along with the likes of Priyadarshan, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, Dr Chandra Prakash Dwivedi, Maju Bohara and Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan for the show. All six filmmakers are National Award winners. The show is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Hitesh Thakkar. BREAKING: More than 20,000 shows of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan are playing in a day in just Mumbai circuit, a RECORD for a Hindi film post-pandemic

The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan has embarked upon an earth-shattering opening. The word of mouth has been quite positive as the moviegoers have been impressed by the film’s tight narrative, scale, action, emotions, and of course the performances of SRK, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham. The cameo by Salman Khan, which was an open secret, has also been loved unanimously and has contributed to the craze around the film. The advance booking of Pathaan began on January 18 on a rocking note. With each passing day, ticket sales increased. A trade source said, “We all knew that there’s tremendous demand for the film. Yet, we were not prepared to see such kinds of bookings. Hence, many exhibitors and multiplexes increased shows to cater to the insane demand.” It has now come to light that in the Mumbai circuit, Pathaan has more than 20,000 shows a day! The source continued, “In the past, films like RRR (2022), Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion (2017), Avatar: The Way Of Water (2022), Avengers: Endgame (2019), etc also had so many shows in the circuit. But post-pandemic, this is a first for the Mumbai circuit for a Hindi film. It speaks volumes of its hype.” Bollywood Hungama has been continuously reporting about such happening box-office-related developments of Pathaan. In the morning, we reported that exhibitors increased 300 shows of the film right after the first show. At present, the total screen count of the film is 8,000 screens across the world. Confirmed! Alisha Panwar to enter Kumkum Bhagya after the six-years leap

Nine years back, Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia mesmerised the audience with their sizzling chemistry in Kumkum Bhagya. Since its inception, the ZEE TV show has frequently gained the top position. Currently, Mugdha Chaphekar and Krishna Kaul are playing the lead in the Ektaa Kapoor show. As per the latest buzz, the serial will soon see a six-year leap, and with the leap, numerous twists and turns are planned including actress Alisha Panwar’s entry in a negative character.

Yes! You read it right. Alisha, who was last seen in Teri Meri Ikk Jindri, has been kept away from TV for almost a year. Speaking of her comeback with Kumkum Bhagya with Times of India, Alisha asserted, “I have played positive roles, but I feel people have connected with my negative roles more. I played Tara in Ishq Mein Marjawan and people have been offering me negative roles after that.”

Panwar further added, “I will play a negative role in Kumkum Bhagya too. I am an obsessive lover, who falls in love with the main lead (Krishna Kaul) and creates trouble in his life.”

Elaborating about her character, Alisha said, “It is true that before the leap it was Tina who played a character madly in love with the main lead and now it will be my character after the leap. But my character is 10 times more vicious than Tina's and I am just glad that I am getting to work in a popular show like Kumkum Bhagya. The production house had earlier approached me for Nagin, but I could not do the show due to date issues.”

She concluded by saying, “Earlier people used to slot if you did similar roles, but not anymore. I also acted in Meri Gudiya, where I played a positive role. Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has successfully bagged yet another award at Saudi Arabia. He expressed his gratitude and gave a heartfelt acceptance speech while receiving the award. The actor shared the same on social media.

Amitabh Bachchan bagged Lifetime Achievement Award at 2023 Joy Awards for his contribution to the Indian movies. Legendary actor Bachchan took to his Instagram and shared the video. The post incorporated several clips from the actor’s film, following which he can be seen giving a speech. “My immense gratitude for your affection and care .. and for the honour ..”, the actor captioned while sharing the video.

In his speech he mentioned that it was his first visit to Saudi, but won’t be his last. The actor said, “I’ve always believed that cinema is a medium of entertainment, and it is a medium that brings people together and integrates human society. We come from different walks of life and come from different paths of the world, but when we watch something, we laugh at the same jokes and cry at the same things. We come together at one platform.”

“My father, a great poet - during the last days of his life, he used to watch a Hindi film every evening, sometimes repeating the same film every time. I asked him what is it that you find interesting in cinema. He said that I get poetic justice in three hours. You and I won’t get poetic justice in a lifetime or several lifetimes. According to a source close to the development, Salman Khan has an extraordinary screen presence as Tiger in his 15-minute-long action packed extended appearance in Siddharth Anand's Pathaan. "From helicopter, to guns and hand to hand combats - you will see Salman Khan acing the space that he excels in to rescue his friend Shah Rukh Khan from tough times of being trapped by Russian Mafia," a source told Bollywood Hungama.

The two superstars have a dynamic presence in the film leaving the fans asking for more and more of the two. "And that combo will be back soon in a full-fledged film, as a crossover of Tiger and Pathaan is in the making. The idea of Aditya Chopra is to celebrate two of Hindi Cinema's biggest megastars - Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan," the source told us further.

Pathaan is an extension of YRF spy universe that kicked off with Ek Tha Tiger in 2012, followed by Tiger Zinda Hai and War. Vikrant Massey to undergo shoulder surgery for injury encountered during Haseen Dilruba shoot

Life has come to a full circle for Vikrant Massey. The actor encountered a shoulder injury during the shoot of his film Haseen Dillruba four years ago. However, he couldn’t get it treated because of his busy schedule. And now, after wrapping up the first schedule of Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, the sequel to the film, Vikrant will finally be underdoing a surgery for his shoulder.

The makers of the show quoted a source saying, “The actor will now undergo the procedure and treatment for the shoulder injury once the first schedule of Haseen Dillruba 2 wraps up, since it requires immediate attention. Over time, the pain got worse but Vikrant powered through it considering his back to back shoot schedule. He will now be taking some time out to tend to the injury after the schedule wrap of Haseen Dillruba sequel.”

The first film in the franchise, which released in 2021, starred Taapsee Pannu in the titular role along with Harshvardhan Rane. It is unlikely for the sequel to star Rane since his character dies in the first film. There have been reports about Sunny Kaushal being a part of the second film.

While sharing the news of the sequel, Vikrant had given few insights on Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba earlier this month saying, “A lot of it is going to be really different. Except for me and Taapsee, there are so many new things. It’s another crazy experience. We had not kept expectations earlier too that it will be so loved, the story, the world around the story. The amount of love we got for the film we thought.”

Apart from Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba, Vikrant also has the psychological thriller Gaslight with Sara Ali Khan, Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 12th Fail, Sector 36 with Maddock Films.

Rajkumar Santoshi files complaint at Mumbai police after receiving threats for his film Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh

It seems that the films releasing this week are facing trouble from different groups owing to the subjects. While Pathaan has been facing protests from different groups because of the saffron colour bikini of Deepika Padukone, the other film that is releasing alongside, Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh is also facing its own share of trouble. This film has come under the radar after some groups took offense, claiming that it glorifies Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin. And now with the filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi receiving threats over the same, he has sought the help of Mumbai for increasing security.

As per PTI reports, Rajkumar Santoshi has written a letter to the Special Commissioner of Police Deven Bharti, in which he has requested his help after a group of people interrupted and caused a scene at the recently held promotional event of Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh . “Later several threats were received from some unknown people asking me to stop the release and promotion for this movie. I feel unsafe and I submit that grave damage and injury could be caused to me and my family members if such persons are set free,” said the excerpts of the letter.

Furthermore, he stressed on the need of protection adding, “I request you to urgently provide me with additional security to protect myself and other members of my family.”

Rajkumar Santoshi who has directed some hard hitting films like Damini and Ghayal, will be returning to the big screen wherein he wanted to portray the clashing ideologies of Mahatma Gandhi and Naturam Godse, and what prompted the latter to kill the man, who is known as the ‘Father of the Nation’.

Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh is a historical drama Deepak Antani and Chinmany Mandlekar and is slated to release on January 26.

Kartik Aaryan starrer Shehzada trailer crosses 100 million views across platforms

Ever since the trailer of director Rohit Dhawan’s Shehzada dropped on the internet and social media, Kartik Aaryan’s fans have gone into a frenzy. Although the actor is known for giving a series of commercial hits, this is the first time that he is starring in an out-and-out masala entertainer and this seems to have worked out well with the trailer going viral in no time.

Now, the Shehzada trailer has crossed a major milestone as it has gone past 100 million views across platform on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram in just 11 days.

Shehzada is the official Hindi remake of the Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Released in 2020, the movie starred Allu Arjun in the lead role along with Pooja Hegde, Nivetha Pethuraj and Sushanth Anumolu. The remake has been produced by Bhushan Kumar under his banner T-Series.

Confirmed! Pulkit Samrat-Richa Chadha starrer Fukrey 3 to release in 2023 on THIS date

Finally, after a long wait, the 3rd instalment of Excel Entertainment's most successful and most anticipated comedy franchise of Bollywood Fukrey is all set for its release on the auspicious occasion of  Krishna Janmashtami dated, September 7, 2023. As the film in itself carries a legacy of laughter and giggles, it is very apt to say that Fukrey 3 will surely set new bars for its ever-growing craze among the audience. 

Fukrey 3 stars Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Richa Chadha, Manjot Singh, and Pankaj Tripathi. The film is directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and produced under Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment.

Sukesh Chandrashekhar slams Nora Fatehi’s accusations; says, “She already has taken a large amount from me to purchase a house for her family in Casablanca, Morocco”

Nora Fatehi and Sukesh Chandrashekhar are making headlines due to money laundering case. Nora had recently alleged that Sukesh had promised her a house. Sukesh accused Nora of buying her house in Morocco with his money. Sukesh had made shocking revelations regarding Nora claiming that Sukesh had promised her a big house and luxurious lifestyle in return of being his girlfriend. To which, Sukesh completely denied the claims Nora made on him and revealed that he was in serious relationship with actress Jacqueline Fernandez.

Both Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi have been in news due to their alleged involvement in the Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s Rs. 200 crores money laundering case. As reported by Hindustan Times, Sukesh claimed, “Today she (Nora) talks about me promising her a house, but she already has taken a large amount from me to purchase a house for her family in Casablanca, Morocco, all these new stories are crafted by her to escape law after ED statement 9 months ago given by her.”

“Nora claims that she did not want a car, or she did not take it for herself is a very big lie, as she was after my life that her car had to be changed, as the ‘CLA’ that she had looked very cheap, so then me and her selected car I gave her, and the chats and screenshots are very well with the ED, so there is no lie at all, in fact I wanted to give her Range rover, but as the car was not available in stock she wanted in urgent, I gave her the BMW S series, which she kept using for a long time, as she was a non-Indian, she asked me to register it on the name of her best friend’s husband Bobby’s name. Me and Nora never had a professional transaction, as she is claiming except for once that she attended an event hosted by my concern foundation, for which official payment was made to her agency,” he added.

The case is supervised under Delhi's Patiala House Court, which has deferred arguments in the alleged money laundering case on Monday. Court has also allowed the exemption pled filed by Jacqueline from her personal appearance in court. The matter will be next heard in court on February 15.

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan hits a century, to release in 100+ countries, the highest for any Indian film ever!

The most awaited film in Indian cinema after a long, long time, Pathaan, is part of Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe and has the biggest superstars of the country Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in it. Another huge reason for the buzz around Pathaan is that two of the biggest megastars of the country Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are teaming up in Yash Raj Films’ Pathaan. No leading lady for Akshay Kumar in C Sankaran Nair bio-pic

It seems as if Bollywood is finally growing up. From romancing 21-year olds to mentoring them, Bollywood A-listers finally seem to be imbuing their age with dignity. And Akshay Kumar seems to lead the bright pack. After the underproduction, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in which Akshay does not have a romantic lead, one has now come to know that he has no leading lady in the C Sankaran Nair bio-pic either.

According to reliable source, “Ananya Pandey is a part of the bio-pic. But she is not paired with Akshay. Rather, she plays his intern and protégée. There is no romantic involvement between the two.”

Another forthcoming film where the hero has no leading lady is Bholaa where Ajay Devgn goes solo.

Athiya Shetty and K L Rahul Wedding: Mahurat has been locked in 4:15pm; post that the couple will make an appearance to the media

Last week, it was reported that Suniel Shetty and Mana Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty, who made her Bollywood debut in 2015, is tying the knot with K L Rahul on January 23. The couple has opted for a simple ceremony that will be an intimate affair at Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala. Since then, the paparazzi has been sharing glimpses and updates about the event which will be held today evening. On the other hand, the pre wedding festivities were kicked off during the weekend and it was being said that it was a private but starry affair.

Guests at the bash have been quoted in ETimes report stating that friends of the couple, like Akanksha Ranjan, Krishna Shroff, among others were seen dancing during the sangeet ceremony of Athiya Shetty and K L Rahul. Furthermore, it was also being said that the party continued wee hours of down. On the other hand, talking about today’s ceremony, it has been reported that the priests have decided the mahurat time as 4:15. As per the paparazzi report, the baarat has already arrived at 2:30pm and the couple will be exchanging vows and becoming man and wife as per the mahurat time.

In an earlier report it was being said that Athiya Shetty and K L Rahul had decided to have a simple wedding but will surely be hosting a grand reception for the couple.  If these reports are to be believed, the reception, however, may be postponed because of the upcoming IPL season.

For the unversed, Athiya Shetty and K L Rahul have been together for about three years and the couple has never shied away from posting about it on social media. While the two have retained silence about their marriage rumours, a day ago, Suniel Shetty confirmed the wedding to the paparazzi when he was spotted outside the venue, his bungalow Jahaan in Khandala.
