That Telugu star Ram Charan insisted on being part of Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is a fact that Salman himself announced proudly. What is not known is the role that Salman has conceived for Ram Charan. A source in the know informs that Ram Charan and Salman will shake a leg together. “It is a special song, not an item song,” an informed source reveals. “Ramcharan is a fantastic dancer, and Salman wanted to tap into that.”

The Ram Charan-Salman shake-a-leg special is expected to be one of the USPs of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Ram Charan’s bump-and-grind gesture is in reciprocation to Salmam’s extended guest appearance in Ram Charan’s father Chiranjeevi’s Acharya. The two families are very close. When Ram Charan was shooting for the Zanjeer remake in Mumbai Salman insisted on sending food to the set every day.

On Salman’s insistence choreographer-director Prabhu Dheva had incorporated Chiranjeevi’s celebrated “Veena step” in Salman’s Dabangg 3 dance number ‘Munna Badnaam Hua’ where Salman glides in the shape of the Indian musical instrument, the Veena.

Sharing the video post of Virat on her Instagram story, an angry Anushka wrote, “Have experienced few incidents where some fans have shown no compassion or grace in the past, but this really is the worst thing. An absolute disgrace and violation of a human being and anyone who sees this and thinks celebrity ho! Toh deal karna padega should know that you are also part of the problem.”

As mentioned above, a while ago, Virat shared the viral video and wrote a note, which read, “I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that. But this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all?? I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment.”

Netflix postpones SHINee's Minho and Chae Soo Bin’s The Fabulous press conference and premiere amid Itaewon Halloween crowd crush tragedy

In the wake of the tragedy in Itaewon in South Korea on Saturday which left hundreds of people dead, Netflix has decided to postpone their upcoming Korean drama The Fabulous starring Minho from popular K-pop group SHINee and actress Chae Soo Bin. The press conference was to take place this week followed by the premiere on November 4, 2022.

Swoon Netflix account on Monday shared an official statement on Instagram and wrote, “As national mourning is taking place due to the tragic accident in Korea, we have decided to postpone the press conference and the release of <The Fabulous>.”

For the unversed, Halloween celebrations turned deadly in South Korea’s Itaewon. It was reported that a crowd crush led to the death of 154 people, of whom 26 were foreign nationals and 132 were injured as per updates on Sunday, according to Korea Herald. An estimate of 100,000 people was expected to be in attendance on Saturday night in Itaewon, a district in central Seoul. In the narrow alley, around 10:40 pm, the crowd began to surge leaving people stuck there for over one and a half hours. This led to suffocation in the tight space. Videos and photos went viral on social media in which people and first responders were giving CPR on the spot to people who were unresponsive and went into cardiac arrest. The majority of the fatalities were people in their 20s.

Coming back to The Fabulous, the upcoming series follows four best friends as they chase their dreams alongside fashion’s elite while juggling demanding jobs, romantic dilemmas and wild nights on the town. In the series, Minho plays Ji Woo Min, a freelance photo editor established in his profession and known for his attractive appearance. However, he struggles with finding passion for his work. Things change when he encounters Pyo Ji Eun (played by Chae Soo Bin), a PR manager for luxury brands, and the two find themselves in a blossoming romance. The first look photos were unveiled in September.

Meanwhile, Chae Soo Bin was most recently seen in Disney+ series Rookie Cops. The series marked the debut of singer Kang Daniel as the lead actor.  She is currently seen in a variety show Young Actors’ Retreat. On the other hand, Choi Minho was last seen in Lovestruck In The City and Yumi’s Cells season 1.

Sidharth Malhotra – Kiara Advani starrer Adal Badal put on hold; film finds no takers

Post the release of the Vishnuvardhan directorial Shershaah, the lead pair Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani made headlines for their chemistry both on-screen and off it too. In fact, with the audience taking an immense liking to the film, filmmakers made a beeline to sign the two on for new ventures. One such venture was the quirky film tentatively titled Adal Badal, which revolved around the concept of soul transfers. In fact, both Sid and Kiara had read the concept note and were pretty kicked to start the project. However, now we hear that the said film has run into trouble.

As per a source close to the developments, Bollywood Hungama has exclusively learnt that the project has now been put on the back burner. Revealing details, the source informed Bollywood Hungama, “Yes, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani were very keen on doing the film. In fact, the quirky premise of Adal Badal intrigued them both, and they even gave the makers a green light to go ahead with the development of a script for the venture. Unfortunately, even before the venture could take off it seems to have been grounded with no takers for the film.” Further talking about why Adal Badal has been put on the back burner for now, the source continues, “No one in the industry is ready to bankroll the venture. It isn’t because of the lead pair, but instead, it is due to the rather unconventional storyline. Despite its quirkiness and novelty, in the current state, the industry is in, nobody wants to take a gamble and risk big monies on an untested formula.”

With no investors ready to take a gamble on producing the venture, it seems like the venture will eventually be dropped. Interestingly though, for fans who have been wanting to see the two together on screen again, the buzz is that Sid and Kiara will soon move onto the Dharma Productions venture that will topline them in the cast. In fact, reports claim that the two are contemplating starting work on this untitled venture rather soon.

As for Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, both actors have an impressive lineup ahead. While Sidharth has Yodha and Mission Majnu, Kiara has Govinda Naam Mera, RC15, and the Kartik Aaryan starrer Satyaprem Ki Katha.

Aamir Khan's mother Zeenat Hussain suffers heart attack, admitted to Breach Candy hospital

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan's mother Zeenat Hussain suffered a heart attack. The reports state that it happened during Diwali festivities and she was rushed to Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai. They were all in Panchgani at Aamir's holiday home when reportedly the health scare happened.

As per an Etimes report, Zeenat Hussain is now recovering well and is stable. Her condition and vitals are good and she is recuperating. Aamir Khan and other family members are reportedly in hospital with her.

Aamir Khan is the son of late filmmaker Tahir Hussain and Zeenat Hussain In June, the actor celebrated his mother's birthday.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan will next star in RS Prasanna's project. The said film is the official remake of the Spanish film Campeones. The film will reportedly star Anushka Sharma and is already in pre-production stage. Campeones meaning Champions is a sports comedy-drama set against the backdrop of basketball where an arrogant coach is forced to do community service and train a team with developmental disabilities. The film starred Javier Gutierrez, Jose de Luna, Gloria Ramos, Roberto Chinchilla, Athenea Mata, Luisa Gavasa, Mariano Llorente, Daniel Freire, and Juan Margallo. It was directed by Javier Fesser. The film was the biggest national box office hit of the year.

On the other hand, Aamir Khan faced quite a failure with this last release Laal Singh Chaddha. While the film released on August 11, it failed to create any magic at the box office. The film starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh. It was helmed by Advait Chandan.

Cinema owners start replacing Ram Setu & Thank God with Kantara (Hindi); to get 25% more shows from tomorrow

The rough spell for Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn is just not ending as their Diwali 2022 releases - Ram Setu and Thank God - are turning out to be theatrical flops. The footfalls are seeing fall day by day and the exhibitors anticipate the two films to come down to doing very low numbers on the weekdays, once the 6-day festive period is over. The programmers have sat down to reduce the showcasing of the films by a huge margin.

Ram Setu is looking at a 6-day extended weekend of approximately Rs. 57 crores, whereas Thank God is even worse with a 6-day weekend of Rs. 27 crores. On the other hand, the Kannada dubbed film, Kantara in its 3rd week, is doing phenomenal business at ticket rates approx. 40 per cent lower than Ram Setu and 30 per cent lower than Thank God. Seeing the upward swing in business by the day, the cinema owners have silently started to increase the Kantara showcasing by reducing shows for both Ram Setu and Thank God.

There have been show reductions for both the films for both - Saturday and Sunday - with additional shows being allotted to Kantara. The showcasing reduction is minimal for the weekend, but the real game will begin from Monday, when a major chunk of shows are set to be either cancelled or replaced to avoid the reports of no audience in cinema halls. The distributors have given tight instructions to keep limited showcasing and avoid the negativity of shows getting cancelled due to zero audience. Some morning and noon shows are already cancelled for Monday, and things don't look bright for both Ram Setu and Thank God.

Kantara on the other hand might have 25 to 30 per cent higher shows from tomorrow, and this includes showcasing in the single screens too. The low pricing policy is doing wonders for the team, as the film has indeed recorded much better footfalls than Thank God, and is almost similar to Ram Setu on the footfall front from Thursday onwards.

Story of Bhediya leads to the sequel of Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree; Report

Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon are making headlines for their upcoming film Bhediya. Recently, the makers dropped the song ‘Thumkeshwari’. Though the duo charms the audience with their moves, it's Shraddha Kapoor’s cameo that steals everyone’s attention. After the release of the song, Shraddha Kapoor also confirmed Stree 2, and now, fans are eagerly waiting for more updates to come.

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are all set to reunite and start shooting for the sequel in 2023. If a report by Pinkvilla is something to go by, then Stree 2 will start rolling early next year. Quoting a source close to the development, the report stated, “Amar [Kaushik] and his team of writers have been working on the script of Stree 2 for a while now, and they have finally locked a subject that takes forward the legacy of the first part.”

The source further elaborated, “They are well aware of all the expectations and hence, despite pressures from all ends to make a sequel, were in no hurry to make Stree 2. The script has shaped up well and the team is now all set to take the film on floors early next year.”

As per the report, the prep work is going on at the moment on paper, and the pre-production is expected to begin post the release of Bhediya in November. It also informed that the makers are planning to take it on floors in the first quarter of 2023.

Speaking of Kapoor's appearance in the Bhediya song, it mentioned, “Shraddha has made a brief appearance in a song of Bhediya and now, Varun Dhawan too is expected to have a role to play in Stree 2. The story of Bhediya eventually leads to Stree and that would set the ball rolling for Maddock’s unique horror-comedy universe.”

The source concludes by saying, “Three’s a company, that started with Stree. Amar is creatively involved in the Vampire Film too, which kicks off next year.”

SM Entertainment cancels annual Halloween party in the wake of Itaewon crowd crush that left 151 dead, 82 injured

In the wake of the tragedy in Itaewon in South Korea on Saturday, the popular entertainment agency SM Entertainment, which houses K-pop groups like NCT, Red Velvet, aespa, Super Junior, EXO, SHINee among others, has cancelled their annual Halloween celebrations. For the unversed, Itaewon, one of the popular destinations in South Korea, witnessed thousands of people during Halloween celebrations which led to one of the most horrific incidents.

In a statement on late Saturday night following the tragic incident of crowd surge in Itaewon, SM Entertainment released a statement which read, “We are informing you that the live broadcast of the “SMTOWN WONDERLAND 2022” red carpet, which was scheduled to be streamed live for free today for KWANGYA CLUB ACE members on the global platform Beyond LIVE for approximately one hour starting from 6:15 p.m., has been cancelled. Because the “SMTOWN WONDERLAND 2022” event itself has been cancelled, there will be no livestream of the red carpet either. We ask for fans’ understanding.”

President Yoon Suk Yeol has officially announced the mourning period from October 30 – November 4 amid the Itaewon case. As per a report in Korea Herald, atleast 151 people died and more than 82 were injured in a “crowd crush in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, central Seoul, according to fire authorities at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. The fire department began to receive reports of patients having difficulty breathing at 10:22 p.m. on Saturday.”

It was reported that most fatalities were people in their 20s amongst whom 19 were foreigners who were dead. Videos and photos went viral on social media where people were providing CPR to several people who went into cardiac arrest due to crowd-crushing in Itaewon which is a central party spot. The report states, “A total of 848 personnel, including 364 firefighters, were mobilized to deal with the accident and 142 ambulances were deployed.”

It has been some time now since rumours of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s apparent relationship have been doing the rounds. In fact, on the Karan Johar-hosted chat show Koffee with Karan the filmmaker even questioned both Sidharth and Kiara individually about their relationship and about their impending nuptials. While neither Sid nor Kiara revealed much, the Thank God actor did claim to manifest a wedding with Kiara on the Koffee couch. Well, let us be the first to tell you, that the manifestation has come true, and the couple is all set to tie the knot this December.

Confirming the development a well-placed industry source tells Bollywood Hungama exclusively, “Yes the Shershaah jodi, Sidharth Malhotra, and Kiara Advani have locked a date this December for their nuptials. Though neither side is open to talking about the impending wedding both have stated prepping for it.” Prod for more details and the source continues, “As of now, both Sidharth and Kiara are keeping a lid on things, but it is expected that there will be a reception in Mumbai with the industry in attendance. Karan Johar, who ensured to make his displeasure on not being invited to certain ‘Bollywood shaadis’ will definitely be on the guest list.” While the source says that prep for the wedding is underway, there has been literally no talk about the fast-approaching nuptials. “Given the hype surrounding their relationship, it is no surprise that Sid and Kiara want to keep things on the down low. Once everything is ready and the couple has finished with their prep work will they officially announce their wedding. But till then they do not want to reveal any details”, adds the source.

While we at Bollywood Hungama can’t wait for the big fat Indian wedding, back on the work front, Sidharth Malhotra was recently seen on the big screen in Thank God, and will next be seen in Yodha and Mission Majnu. Tiger Shroff, Jackky Bhagnani and Jagan Shakti join hands for an action-thriller titled Hero No 1

Director-actor duo David Dhawan and Govinda ruled the box office in the 90s with numerous back-to-back hits. Among others, Hero No 1 clocked 25 this year in February. Now, it seems the title is all set to revive, but with a new director, actor and producer, and they are going to be Tiger Shroff, Jackky Bhagnani and Jagan Shakti.

If a report by Pinkvilla is something to go by, then all the moviegoers may see Tiger Shroff headlining an upcoming project, titled Hero No 1. The upcoming flick is said to be a big-budget action-packed thriller and is expected to go on floors in 2023.

Quoting a source close to the development, the report stated, “Tiger Shroff, Jackky Bhagnani and Jagan Shakti are looking to create a one of its kind tentpole action thrillers, with the aim to bring heroism back in a big way. And what better title than Hero No 1 to celebrate cinema the way it’s meant to be.” It also added that Jagan has been committed to making a film for Pooja Entertainment, and the script of Hero No 1 is among his most ambitious dreams.

“The vision is big, and the team plans to shoot the film internationally in Europe with an international action crew. The idea is to take it on floors in 2023, however, exact timelines are been worked upon,” informed the source.

As per the report, pre-production is in process, and the entire production unit is gearing up to begin work on this large-scale project. This mission-based movie will feature a number of compelling characters, including a villain. In a month, the other actors in the movie, including the protagonist and antagonist, will be cast.

However, it is worth mentioning that a few days back, a source had informed Bollywood Hungama that Jagan Shakti and Tiger Shroff have not signed any project together.

NCB files 200-page charge sheet against Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiya in 2020 drug case

Popular couple Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiya seem to be in trouble, again. A 200-page charge sheet against comedian Bharti Singh and her spouse Haarsh Limbachiya has been submitted to the court by the Mumbai Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) branch, as reported by ANI. For the unversed, they were arrested in 2020 in connection with a drugs case and are currently out on bail.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had arrested the couple in November 2020 after the seizure of ganja (cannabis) from their house in suburban Andheri. After the investigation, NCB had stated that 86.5 gram of cannabis was recovered from their home in a raid.

“Both Bharti and her husband Haarsh Limbachiya accepted consumption of Ganja," ANI had quoted NCB officials as saying. According to an official, the search was done as part of the NCB's investigation into alleged drug use in the entertainment business.

The magistrate court granted the couple bail after two days on a bond of Rs 15,000 each. The two were charged with violating NDPS Act sections 20(b)(ii)(A) (involving the minor quantity of narcotics), 8(c) (drug possession), and 27 (drug consumption).

It is worth mentioning that neither Bharti nor Haarsh have issued any statement regarding the 200-page charge sheet against them.

After that, the NCB filed an appeal with the sessions court, arguing that the bail was granted without the prosecution's input. The magistrate's order was deemed by the central agency to be "perverse, illegal, and terrible in law," and as such, it should be quashed.

The special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act court denied the revision application for technical reasons, and the agency then submitted a new application for the same issue. The Mumbai Sessions Court, reportedly, has not yet heard that application.

SCOOP: Ranbir Kapoor roped in for a special dance number in Aditya Seal’s Rocket Gang

A while back it was reported that choreographer turned director Bosco Martis would be directing a musical film titled Rocket Gang. Featuring Aditya Seal, Nikita Dutta, and others the film is all set to release on November 11 this year. Though there still is time till the venture hits screens, Bollywood Hungama has learnt that the film will feature a very special guest appearance in the form of Brahmastra star Ranbir Kapoor.

Confirming the same a source close to the production tells us, “Yes, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen making a cameo in Rocket Gang. But unlike conventional guest appearances, the Kapoor lad will be seen in a special dance number in the film.” Ask for more details and the source continues, “Bosco developed a very close rapport with Ranbir Kapoor while choreographing him for Luv Ranjan’s film with Shraddha Kapoor. Since then the two have been in touch. So when Bosco was directing Rocket Gang he requested Ranbir to make a special appearance in the film. Knowing Ranbir, the actor can never turn down a friend, and readily agreed to feature in the special dance number.”

While it will be fun to see Ranbir Kapoor featuring in a musical after a while, Rocket Gang was initially slated to release in 2021. However, the release of the film was later pushed to November 2022 due to Covid.

Ranveer Singh in talks with Om Raut to star in AI inspired VFX heavy movie

Ranveer Singh, since his debut in Band Baaja Baaraat, has come a long way to become one of the most sought-after talents in the industry. In fact, given the actor’s repertoire of work and his immense fan following, Ranveer is inundated with film offers. Well adding yet another we hear is filmmaker Om Raut who is approached Ranveer to feature in his next.

Revealing details, a well-placed industry source informed Bollywood Hungama, “Yes, Om Raut has approached Ranveer to feature in his next ambitious film. The project will be a VFX-driven project wherein Om Raut is looking to use an AI-inspired technique to film the entire movie.” Ask the source about Ranveer Singh’s reaction and he continues, “So far Ranveer has liked the idea and basic concept of the venture. In fact, he is in talks with Om Raut for the film and the development of the script. But it is still too early to say anything.”

Though the source is adamant about the film being something definite, those close to the actor reveal, “Ranveer Singh gets a lot of film offers and likes quite a few of them. However, just because he liked it, does not mean that he will do it. Yes, Om Raut did have a meeting with Ranveer and did pitch an idea, which the latter liked. But there is nothing confirmed.”

While, whether the said venture is made eventually or not is uncertain, on the work front, Ranveer Singh will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus, followed by Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

Having spun magic on the box office with his last film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik Aaryan seems to be in a ‘transformative’ mood. For his ready-for-release eerie film Freddy directed by Shashanka Ghosh, Kartik had to gain considerable weight to give a ‘weighty’ performance as a dentist on a rampage.

A well-informed source reveals, “Freddy is Kartik Aaryan’s most challenging role to date. He plays a dark eerie twisted character which will shock audiences.” Kartik’s character is apparently as grey as Shah Rukh’s Baazigar and Darr.

Since Kartik had to play a character older than his actual age, Kartik insisted on bulking himself up.

“The director suggested prosthetics. But Kartik wanted no artificiality in his acting ambit on this occasion. Freddy is as raw and real as it can get. And Kartik wanted the character to look as determinedly authentic as possible,” says the source.

Was it tough for Kartik to put on the kilos? “Not at all. He only had to tuck into his mother’s cooking for a few weeks to bulk up,” says the source.

Musician Kanye West, also known as Ye, has been in the headlines for the past few weeks. Recently, he made antisemitic remarks that led to him losing several deals including Adidas, and Gap, which led to him losing his billionaire status. The rapper says he lost out on $2 billion (Rs. 16,495.50 cr).

"I lost 2 billion dollars in one day and I'm still alive," Kanye wrote on Instagram. "This is love speech. I still love you. God still loves you. The money is not who I am. The people is who I am."

This comes after Ari Emmanuel, the CEO of entertainment and media agency Endeavor, had written an op-ed in Financial Times following West's antisemitic remarks, saying that "those who continue to do business with West are giving his misguided hate an audience."

Kanye West's recent remarks have led to outrage on social media. “I can say antisemitic s—- and Adidas cannot drop me,” said the rapper on the Drink Champs podcast earlier this month.

Adidas cut ties with Kanye which led to him losing his billionaire status. “Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness,” the company said in a statement.

“After a thorough review, the company has taken the decision to terminate the partnership with Ye immediately, end production of Yeezy branded products and stop all payments to Ye and his companies. Adidas will stop the Adidas Yeezy business with immediate effect.”  Without the Adidas deal, Kanye West now stands at $400 million net worth.

Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter postponed to Republic Day 2024; Prabhas-starrer Salaar to now enjoy a SOLO release on September 28, 2023

Superstar Hrithik Roshan recently released his much-awaited action thriller, Vikram Vedha. Though it didn’t hit the bullseye at the box office, his stardom is intact and so is the excitement for his upcoming film, Fighter. The moviegoers and even the trade are excited about it for multiple reasons – it brings together Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone for the first time, it is directed by Siddharth Anand of Bang Bang (2014), War (2019) and Pathaan (2023) fame, and also because it’s one-of-its-kind aerial action entertainer from Bollywood.

Today, the makers of Fighter announced that their film, which was supposed to release on September 30, 2023, has now been postponed to January 25, 2024. The biggie will now release on Republic Day, 1 ½ years from now.

Interestingly, this means that Salaar will now enjoy a solo release. Starring pan-India star Prabhas, it is directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF fame. Hombale Films, which backed KGF and the recent surprise blockbuster Kantara (2022), are the producers of Salaar. Apart from Prabhas, it also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu. It is scheduled for a release on September 28, 2023

An industry expert told Bollywood Hungama, “It would have been a gigantic clash of titans had Fighter and Salaar released on the same day. Both are very big films with huge budgets. Many were hoping that these films would come solo, especially the exhibitors. The news of Fighter’s postponement has made many stakeholders happy.”

The expert continued, “It is unlikely that some other Bollywood biggie would come in place of Fighter and clash with Salaar. It is too big a film as it brings together Prabhas and Prashanth Neel. It is bound to generate excitement and will be one of the record openers of 2023 in all languages.”

Meanwhile, had Fighter and Salaar clashed, it would have meant the second clash between a film of Hrithik Roshan and Vijay Kiragandur’s Hombale Films. Earlier this year, both Vikram Vedha and Kantara’s original Kannada version were released on September 30. Motivated by its success, its makers quickly dubbed the film in Hindi and released it on October 14. At present, it is doing successful business in cinemas.

Fighter, meanwhile, is backed by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix, and is produced by Siddharth Anand, Jyoti Deshpande, Ajit Andhare, Mamta Anand, Ramon Chibb and Anku Pande.

Crash Landing on You stars Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin expecting a baby boy; delivery due in December

South Korean actors Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin, who got hitched in March 2022, are expecting their first child. The Crash Landing On You actors, who dated for three years before tying the knot, took to social media to make the announcement in July 2022. Now, the couple has revealed that they are expecting a baby boy which is due in December.

Son Ye Jin’s agency made an official announcement in Korean, as per the Korean tabloid Soompi, which read, “Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin’s child is a boy. The baby is due in December. Son Ye Jin is currently in very good health. She’s calmly preparing for the birth [of her son].”

Back in June, Son Ye Jin took to her official Instagram account to make the announcement. As per Korean tabloid Soompi, her note, written in Korean, read, “You are all well, right? I am doing well. Today, I want to carefully share some joyful news. A new life has come to us. I’m still a bit dazed, but I am feeling changes in my body every day with concern and excitement.  As thankful as I am, I also feel that much cautious, so I haven’t even told anyone around me yet. Before it gets later, I am sharing this news with fans and acquaintances who must have been waiting as much as us. We will make sure to protect the valuable life that has come to us. Fans around the world fell in love with the lead pair of Crash Landing On You, played by supremely popular actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin. While there were rumours that the actors were dating, it was only confirmed on January 1, 2021. Dispatch, A Korean tabloid, revealed that Crash Landing On You stars indeed fell in love during the filming of the series and began dating after the drama ended.

Meanwhile, Son Ye Jin was most recently seen in the drama Thirty-Nine. Hyun Bin will next star in the movie Harbin. He recently starred in the blockbuster The Confidential Assignment 2.

Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani to head to Ahmedabad for Satyaprem Ki Katha shoot in November

Sajid Nadiadwala and Namah Pictures' collaboration, Satyaprem Ki Katha starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani is slated to release in 2023. The shoot began early this year. The team wrapped up the Mumbai schedule in early October. They are now gearing up for the Ahmedabad schedule of the shoot.

As per a report in a web portal, the actors will resume the shoot for the film in November. The city plays an important part in the narrative of the story. The recee is currently on in Gujarat. Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani will be on a 15-20 schedule and the makers plan to shoot at as many real locations as possible.

The film will mark Kartik Aaryan & Kiara Advani coming together for the second time after their last venture Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The film, which released in May earlier this year, was a blockbuster.

Satya Prem Ki Katha also marks a collaboration between NGE and Namah Pictures. Interestingly, Sajid Nadiadwala and Shareen Mantri Kedia with Kishor Arora & director Sameer Vidwans won a National Award for their respective feature films.

Satyaprem Ki Katha will be releasing in theatres on June 29, 2023.

Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan will next star in Freddy which is seeing a direct-to-digital release. The announcement was made on October 27 that the film will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar. It stars Alaya F opposite Kartik Aaryan. It marks his second digital release after Dhamaka.  He also has Kabir Khan's next which was announced a couple of months ago and Captain India.

On the other hand, Kiara Advani has Ram Charan's next RC 15 with Shankar. She was last seen in Jugjugg Jeeyo with Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. She is reportedly also gearing up to reunite with Shershaah co-star Sidharth Malhotra.

Esmayeel Shroff dies in Mumbai; Govinda, Padmini Kolhapure mourn his demise

Veteran director Esmayeel Shroff passed away following a brief illness late on Wednesday in Mumbai. As per a report by IANS, he breathed his last at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. He was around 65.

For the unversed, the late director had helmed a bunch of hit films such as Agar, God and Gun, Ahista Ahista, Zid, Police Public, Majhdhaar, Dil Akhir Dil Hai, Bulundi, Nishchaiy, Suryaa and Jhuta Sach. Hailing from Andhra Pradesh, he was earlier a graduate in sound engineering from the National Institute of Technology. However, his interest in cinema took him to Bombay where he initially worked as an assistant director.

Shroff had also launched Govinda’s career in Bollywood in 1986. Reacting to the news of his demise, Govinda said, “I’m deeply saddened. My career started with his film. Uparwala unko jannat naseeb karaye (may God place his soul in heaven). May his soul rest in peace. Not only did he give me work, but he used to have faith in me, too. He was the first person in my life who said that Govinda understands cinema. He played a big role in making me Govinda from Govind,” to ETimes. 

On the other hand, Padmini Kolhapure also recalled working with the late filmmaker. While calling him a ‘very sensitive director’ with a ‘smiling face’, she told ETimes, “I did Thodisi Bewafaii and Ahista Ahista with him. Ahista Ahista is very close to my heart. He seemed strict in his demeanour but he had a smiling face. He was very sure about what he wanted and he would put it across. We got along very well as actor-director. He was a very sensitive director. It's a huge loss. He left his mark in the industry.”

Meanwhile, filmmaker Ashoke Pandit took to his Twitter handle and mourned the death of Esmayeel Shroff. In a brief tweet, he wrote, “Sad to know about the demise of ace filmmaker Esmayeel Shroff.”

SEVENTEEN to take over Osaka, Tokyo and Nagoya with concert play park city project amid Be The Sun Japan dome tour

K-pop powerhouse SEVENTEEN’s ‘Be The Sun’ world tour became more exciting. It is being reported that HYBE JAPAN will host ‘SEVENTEEN BE THE SUN THE CITY’ in celebration of the group’s first dome tour in Japan, turning Osaka, Tokyo and Nagoya into a ‘concert play park.’

Taking on the theme of the performance powerhouse’s ongoing world tour, the citywide project will light up the three cities with immersive fan experiences built around the band’s crowd-pulling shows. SEVENTEEN will play at Kyocera Dome Osaka on November 19-20, at Tokyo Dome on November 26-27, and complete the Japan leg of the tour at Vantelin Dome Nagoya on December 3-4.

In Osaka, a digital stamp rally across 18 landmarks—including the HEP FIVE Ferris wheel covered in SEVENTEEN graphics—is set for roll out on November 12, and ‘rapi:t’ express trains wrapped in SEVENTEEN graphics will run through the city starting October 27. A highlight in Tokyo will be a SEVENTEEN-themed light display presented in collaboration with Tokyo Skytree, which will be lit up in orange—the theme colour for their ongoing tour—and ‘Rose Quartz & Serenity’—the band’s official colour—every weekend from November 19 to December 4. A light display will also be a part of the excitement in Nagoya brightening up Sakae, alongside a photo exhibition about the tour.

HYBE Corp.’s ‘THE CITY’ project, first launched for BTS’ 4-night residency in Las Vegas for BTS’ Permission To Dance On Stage – Las Vegas in April 2022, is being held across multiple cities for the first time with SEVENTEEN.

SEVENTEEN made their grand return to the concert stage in June this year, with 2 sold-out shows—the largest show in the city with a live audience since the pandemic—in Seoul. After 12 shows in North America and 7 shows in Southeast Asia to be followed by the Japan leg and 2 additional shows in Southeast Asia, the band is slated to present a total of 29 shows in 21 cities for their ‘BE THE SUN’ tour.

Jacqueline Fernandez’ lawyer says his client is innocent in response to conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s handwritten letter

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez is part of the ongoing Rs. 200 crore money laundering case related to conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Recently, Sukesh wrote a letter claiming that Fernandez had no involvement in the alleged scam. Now, her lawyer Prashant Patil has responded to the letter and said that the actress is innocent and will fight for the dignity of his client.

"If it is written by Sukesh Chandrasekhar, then the allegations made by him need to be seriously investigated, independently and fairly by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The contents reveal that the investigation needs to take place on the facts revealed by him. His statement can be recorded under relevant provisions of the law and investigation can be carried out to find out the truth,” lawyer Prashant Patil told ETimes.

“The purpose of any investigation is to find out the truth. If certain facts are revealed by the accused, even that needs to be investigated by the agencies fairly. I repeat, that my client is innocent and she shall fight for her dignity by following the due process of law,” Prashant Patil said.

As per a report in Hindustan Times, Sukesh Chandrashekhar wrote a handwritten letter which was released by his lawyer which read, “It’s very, very unfortunate that Jacqueline has been made an accused in the PMLA (money laundering) case… We were in a relationship and if I have given her and her family gifts, what is their fault… She never asked me for anything except loving her and standing by her…”

Last month, Delhi High Court had granted her interim bail in the money laundering case. However, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had opposed the bail plea in Delhi court stating that it was a bid to flee the country.

It was earlier reported that the conman had allegedly offered a motorcycle to Jacqueline Fernandez’ agent Prashant on his birthday but the latter declined the gift. The police earlier revealed that Sukesh had left the motorcycle along with the keys at Prashant’s residence, which was later seized by the police.  Previously, the actress was accused of having a connection with Sukesh Chandrashekhar and it was alleged that about Rs. 7.27 Crores of funds were seized from the actress in the name of proceeds of crime. The actress has been previously questioned thrice in the same case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

According to a report in News18 earlier, a fixed deposit worth Rs. 7.12 Crore was allegedly attached to Jacqueline Fernandez’ name. Infact, the ED estimated that Sukesh gifted gifts “worth Rs. 5.71 Crore to Jacqueline using the extortion money. It is also said that Sukesh gave funds close to $173,000 and around 27,000 Australian dollars to a few close members of Jacqueline’s family.”

In Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s statement recorded earlier under Section 50 of the PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act), Sukesh had revealed that he gave as many as 15 pairs of earrings, five Birkin bags, and other luxury goods from brands like Chanel and Gucci to the actress. The conman also claimed that he gifted Jacqueline Cartier bangles and rings and a bracelet by Tiffany & Co. in addition to Rolex watches. He also claimed that he had given Jacqueline jewellery worth Rs. 7 Crore and gifted her a horse named ‘Espuelah’.

In addition, Sukesh Chandrashekhar also extended a loan of $150,000 to Jacqueline Fernandez’ sister, who lives in the US. He allegedly also gave her a BMW X5 car and gifted Jacqueline’s parents a Maserati and her mother in Bahrain a Porsche. He reportedly also extended a loan of $50,000 to her brother in Australia.

In its chargesheet, the Delhi Police has accused Sukesh Chandrashekhar and 13 others of duping the wife of the former promoter of Ranbaxy to the tune of Rs. 200 Crore. Officials believe Sukesh Chandrashekhar extorted Rs. 200 Crore from the complainant by claiming that he would facilitate her husband's release from prison.

After Salman Khan contracts Dengue, BMC conducts an inspection at his Bandra apartment to locate mosquito breeding spots

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) carried out an inspection at Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra’s Galaxy Apartments to locate possible mosquito breeding spots on Sunday. The inspection was carried out a day after Salman Khan was diagnosed with dengue. A group conducted the investigation of the opulent apartment along with six other buildings located along the same road in Bandra.

Elaborating about the drive, a report by The Free Press Journal reported BMC Pesticides Department Officer Rajendra Naringrekar said, “Dengue larvae were spotted at two spots in the Galaxy premises. But no larvae were found at Khan's home."

When the publication asked if the BMC has sent a notice to the Galaxy society over mosquito menace, the officer clarified saying, “We don't send notice to societies instead we forward it to homeowners if larvae is found in their house.” The official explained that the civic body issues three types of notices based on the action required. 

“In the first category, we inform residents that there are mosquito breeding spots (in their homes), which they need to destroy within a week. We initiate legal action against those who don't comply.” Meanwhile, in the second category, notices are sent if breeding spots are spotted in the society's water tank. In the third situation, the official word is forwarded to those who excavate illegal borewells or construct a water fountain.

For the unversed, earlier this week, Salman Khan had contracted dengue. Due to this, he took a short break from his ongoing projects including filming for the reality show, Bigg Boss. Talking to Hindustan Times, Khan’s manager had shared that Bhai is recovering well and will start shooting after Diwali. On Tuesday, Salman was snapped at the birthday bash of his brother-in-law and actor Aayush Sharma.

Genelia D’Souza to make a comeback with Riteish Deshmukh’s directorial debut Ved; see first look

Finally, actress Genelia D’Souza has announced her comeback, after taking a break from the silver screen for almost five years. Interestingly, she has united with her husband Riteish Deshmukh for an upcoming Marathi film, titled Ved. 

On Wednesday, both actors – Deshmukh and D’Souza - took to their respective social media handles to announce the project. Along with the announcement, they also shared the first look at the movie. 

Sharing the poster, D’Souza wrote a note in Marathi, that read, “I was born in Maharashtra. After I started acting, I did films in different languages like Hindi-Tamil-Telugu. I got immense love from the audience there. I am making my Marathi film debut with Riteish’s first directorial venture. Working in Marathi, I feel like I have come full circle.” 

“I am sure you will love me as much in Marathi too. Happy Diwali Padwa. Here is the first look of our mad movie,” she added. As soon as D’Souza dropped the poster, a bunch of her fans and friends from the industry congratulated the actress. While Maniesh Paul commented, “I’m soooooo looking forward to this!”,  “Top,” said Rhea Chakraborty with lots of emojis.

Talking about the film, Deshmukh will helm the movie as a first-time director. The Marathi feature film is slated to release on December 30.  A couple of weeks back, Deshmukh had discussed making his directorial debut with PTI. He was quoted saying, “This (direction) is something I was attracted to for many years but didn’t dare to do it because I was acting. In the last three-four years, I was trying to figure out.”

The actor added, “It is tough for Marathi cinema to survive with Hindi cinema in the same state when the first preference is to watch Hindi over Marathi cinema. When Marathi movies become a second choice, their theatre share invariably goes down.”
